Have I ever not found your work interesting as well? Same answer applies to both questions.

"always" like vince and andy ;)
http://www.erasureinfo.com/

i made a bad mistake when i was 17.

i painted an abstract self-portrait as a gift for a then distant family member. as was popular to say at the time, the caption reads "yo!"

of course, "yo" means "i" in spanish, so my detractors were able to convince my family that i'm arrogant.

(in the 1990's my mother was introduced to an "bargain" painting depicting a lutist who looks like they just finished drinking a plate of blood.. they're both prominently displayed in my mother's house).

of course, since no one else has my unique set of experiences ("beautiful erudite & pastoral childhood meets terrorism and slaughter") no one else understands my rationale, threfore it's easy to interpret my actions as continually self serving.

like that cat lady down the street who "likes to abuse cats which is why she has so many."

so everybody can figure out why i do things.

oh... hi duncan

hurry up and make more :) algo make humans think good. me need more good think from humans.
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

you'll have to canvas Jim/aircut007 for that, he's running the business; I'm just the developer.

info@midimadness.co.uk will put you in touch with him :)

Can someone clarify please.

I have watched the videos and from what I can make out, it generates midi patterns that can be dragged to the host.

Why does the midi have to be routed from Midimadness to the synth track? I can't see what that is doing. What am I missing here?

It would be nice to have a demo to try out. I find it quite appealing.

Seems to me that noatikl is in this same category but considerably more useful, allowing real-time sending of MIDI events to VSTis, as well as scripting.

Or am I missing something?

The routing is for MIDI learn/latching so that CCs can be routed to specific parameters. I would like to add full playback (knowing the sorts of folk that would be interested in this), but that was not on the brief when I was commissioned since it was not the target market at the time. We'll see if v1.5 has it in ;)

There is overlap with noatikl, but it depends on what direction you are taking, and your preferred workflow. MIDIMadness seeks to bring simplicity in design, whilst allowing many subtleties of operation; and I don't feel in a position to comment directly on noatikl, but it is another innovative application.

Optomadic, Jim (the client/midimadness owner) is new to some aspects of internet administration. I have mentioned to him that he will need to check the midimadness.co.uk mailbox regularly, so hopefully he will reply to you soon (and hopefully within 24 hrs). Apologies that it hasn't come yet, I have no control over what is happening there.

Nice pic, btw!

Giancarlo, thank you. Recognition from a fellow dev is always nice to have

no internet for about two days ... hey Duncan, this app is absolutely cool (and well thought through and through)! Noatikl may be more versatile, but Midi Madness is intuitive and i get useful and inspiring results.
Where's the dev? he should do some promotion, because this tool is a winner!
I've found some useful bass-solutions for three bass-lacking sketches in quite a short time.

cheers
