Good to hear!

Agreed, realtime out would make so much better. I just love how quick and easy it is to use, I haven't even touched the manual yet (only watched Duncan's tutorial) and I'm already creating some very cool stuff. I'd like to share an audio demo at some point, but I'll need that update first before I can really push it..

I downloaded the demo of Noatikl last night, but I couldn't get anywhere with that, it's quite a steep learning curve, though some of the Ambient demos I listened to were pretty incredible.

Jim is going with a no demo policy, he said there'll be something upon the site about it. Sorry about that. I'll happily vouch for it's value (I'm not on commission!), but there's still a certain MRDA attached to that ;)
Got the email with the disappointing news. I dont think that the reasoning is very valid IMO and the fact that the author is not here to discuss this makes it impossible to work through any confusion one may have with this strange decision. The only I know if a plugin will work on my given system(s) is for it to be test directly. Hey, its not up to me so what can I do right ?? Unfortunately for this reason, I wont be going with this one (unless I can demo it on my system 1st).

Onto something else then..

:) how long til this will be added?

I don't control the road map, but if left to me it would be in the next release.. we'll see!

Hi duncan, any idea on the ETA for the update/fix?

Post

It's out of my hands, I've sent it through to Jim and he should be handling that. I do apologise for any lateness of its arrival. I understand that he's had some email bounces from the size of the attachment, and so is looking at alternative ways to get it to customers.

As and when you get the error, try pressing 'clear' to clear the histories, and it should be OK until the slots are filled up again - the error was to do with what happens when history crosses from 10 back to 1. Hopefully that should see you through until the cavalry arrives :)

Ahh, that explains it! Thanks for the reply, I'll try that :)

Good stuff indeed. Used it on a new track I started this morning. Although after ten minutes or so working in Live (8.0.3) it started giving me hideous error messages. It didn't crash Live or anything - just error messages.

Post

After you've got the new version [and for those finding this thread in the future], and still get errors, odd messages or crashes, if you look in the directory where you put the dll, there will be a MIDIMadness.elf file.

If you send it to me via the website email (info@midimadness.co.uk) with a note of what you might have just been doing, whether that be a button click, a drag operataion, drop, etc. The file has crash information that is useful to me. I can't guarantee to fix it overnight, but it helps in isolating where to look :)

Tried it again this morning - and it's not so stable on my system. A mail with the log file is in your mailbox!

i don't want to one-up anyone, i've been interested for a while..

a musician/someone sufficiently involved in the vocabulary of interval and timbre can appreciate the effect in this form.. the continuity of instant variations "creates a language" of 'format' or 'mode,' ~moving the consideration to systemic analyses instead of instances. exposure can change the way you listen.

then, do it with words.. language.. most peoples' medium of cogency.

not just once or twice like an ad lib book, but all day, until human expressions are weighted against the stochastic. people already think i'm crazy so i can casually intimate that this is the imminent global technologic kundalini flowering :hihi: imo it should improve polycultural relations at least.

this is my perspective :)

since you've probably been listening to randomisation continuously, the variations sound good. 6000 miles and growing rapidly!
your posts are so awesome because they force me to expand my vocabulary.

they make me feel like brick tamland from the movie-picture anchorman; "i just ate a big red candle."

you are crazy, but you're entertaining and fascinating to watch rurik.

what is kundalini flowering?
