I don't need any of the grooves, but I'd be up for testing some of the edrum features with my V-drums.

I figured we could count on you for that Steve! I think you'll like it.algodon wrote:I don't need any of the grooves, but I'd be up for testing some of the edrum features with my V-drums.

Round Robin and V Drum mapping? I have the DM group buy and am dying to use DM with my V Drums. Would have loved to have used DM on my last prod but couldn't work around the mapping problem so played in on Superior then reassigned to DM... Not fun!

The V-Drum mappings will be a great thing. I have moved to Windows and have edrum midi mapper but I haven't tried it with DM yet. Might not have to!kelvyn wrote:Round Robin and V Drum mapping? Sounds great. Please count me in.
I actually have V-drums, as well, but have hardly used them at all over the past 5 years since it seemed easier to get what I needed from virtual drums just using my fingers. But with the round robin features it may be worth checking out again... and fun too.

Yes, the beta will start probably some time next week. I hav an alpha right now for the Danny Gottlieb kit but I think we'll wait until we have the beta scripts which are coming mid next week. We had to make the GM tom features a little less complicated. But now it is so cool what you can do with it! I will let you guys know by next Thursday or Friday (or sooner if we have it).BERFAB wrote:Is there an ETA for this?

So we are going to be using the Kontakt 3.5 beta, not the final release--right?Squids wrote:Yes, the beta will start probably some time next week. Either is fine.
So, some more features in the meantime to discuss. Okay, for those familiar with our "tom positions", we now have the same feature for a new GM mode where you can choose which of the 6 positions you want it to be (yes I know you could just transpose it to move it but this makes it "fixed" but also moves along with it the round robin group of articulations that YOU can choose!).
Other things... there are now buil-in effects for convenience as well as a send that goes to the global effects so you can use convolution reverb and other things globally. You also now have full discrete control of the mics per instrument as well as down at the bottom faders. What this will allow you to do is basically offset each mic of each kit piece either for effect or to match a particular groove more precisely - especially if you wanted to swap kit pieces but blend that kit piece's mix in with the others. The individual mic channels include our "polyphony management" feature which turns the voice OFF when you turn the channel all the way down. There are a lot of really cool upgrades in Drum Masters 1.5! You'll be able to try some of those things out soon!

I'd be up for trying the beta as well.I have 2 NDV & 2 JB kits (& a few others that I think aren't technically Drum Masters but were part of the group buy),no grooves though.I'm already using the Kontakt 3.5.This looks like a great update Squids.

Awful quiet around here. Anything going on with this?Squids wrote:Yes, the beta will start probably some time next week. I am at Summer NAMM here in Nashville. I do believe Kontakt 3.5 was released today officially? That means you guys can all get it for your Kontakt Player (OWD and Infinite) updates from Native.
When I get back some time next week we'll hook you guys up with some of the Drum Masters 1.5 beta script kits to play around with to see what you think! We're also announcing something else too very soon... I think you'll like it! Well, it's yet another free bonus for Drum Masters and Ocean Way Drums users so... free is always liked!
