I hope that there would be online version of Largo for sale also. Propably only reason why I did not buy komplexer was that it was only sold in music stores. I know that I could easily buy it from example thomann but for some reason I did not. If it would been downloadable, I propably would have made an impulse buy. Same goes for Largo. It is so much more tempting to buy when you can download the product instantly instead of waiting it for week by mail.
Maby it is just me....

EnergyXT, the original version, for one.
Yes, I know that. But it isn't really the same as having an intelligent randomization system built right in. I would have hoped for something along the lines of NI Massive. Oh well, I have a feeling I'll be buying it anyway.

I bought the LARGO today, playing it right now. I have to say: INCREDIBLE!!

This is definitely a new level for vst-synths! Really, really fat!!

I also purchased Largo today at my local music store (price is 199 euros in Germany). I absolutely agree: This is a milestone in vst-history. Not only because it's the first softsynth completely based on Waldorf technology. The PPG Wave 2V was based on PPG technology and Komplexer had nothing to do with Waldorf except it could import MicroQ files.
The sound of Largo is outstanding: Fat, Warm, Soft, Analog, Digital. Just how you like it. For me no difference to a hardware unit (I owned a Waldorf Q and a Microwave XT some years ago). The GUI is ridiculously easy to and handle and looks very pleasing to the eyes. No wonder because Axel Hartman was the GUi designer. If you want wavetables OSCs 1 + 2 have 68 of them, each with 128 steps !!

The bugs which were stated in this thread will be solved soon. I must admit i did not really recognize them since saving fxb- and fxp-files with Ableton Live or MiniHost works perfectly. Largo even recognizes the categories when loading them. For the version 1.0 of a softsynth Largo is remarkably stable, no crashes so far. It's more stable than my HARDWARE Virus TI which even at OS 3.0.3 is not completely stable and has a horrible polyphony (sometimes only 8-10 voices). I guess that Largo will be able to substitute the Virus TI soon (combined with Sylenth1 for hypersaw sounds and Alchemy for the rest).

By the way the Largo CD contains the FULL Waldorf Edition LE which gives you access to the PPG Wave 2V. THe limit in the LE version is 8 voices and only 1 MIDI channel. For the typical use no downside for me.

CONCLUSION:

Largo is an excellent vst also someone mentioned envelopes etc.Well all envelopes are loopable :) they also make for very interesting sound modulation along with the 3 top class lfo's..the wavetables are amazing and honestly all day iv'e been creating drum presets which use all 4 arpeggiatord in multi-mode on channel 5 and the kick, snares etc that can be constructed are amazing.
Unisono mode is magnificent..filters are the business too..EQ with Q is top class and the whole UI is well clear and easy to use..i can see more people here who just bought Largo think it's great too :)
