For each channel you create a dedicated MIDI Track and set its MIDI output (in the routing matrix) to the Largo track and the corresponding MIDI channel.filterfilter wrote:Anyone here who has Largo and Ableton Live? Largo is here!

If i remember right...
1 - Open up Largo
2 - Create 4 audio channels in Live
3 - Somewhere in the audio strip you can assign the audio in/output..choose largo on audio out 1 and repeat for outs 2/3 & 4.
4 - Create a midi channel if you did'nt already when you opened up Largo
5 - Set midi channel to 5 (You will only hear all layers if Largo is set to midi channel 5)otherwise setting Largo to respond to midi channel 1 you will only hear the first layer.
Best

it works now!
kind of complicated:
first I had to create a midi track (A) with no input and largo on it. Then I had to create another midi track (B) with the output routet to the largo, then I created several audio tracks where i can now choose largo's 1-4 outputs. Changing the midichannel from (B) I can now play a single layer!

Hi Largo does the pads aswell and excellent pads too..iv'e been making weird ambient stuff for my tech house minimal bank with good use of the wavetables lfo's and fm..some great results..sounds a bit like granular on some presets..Igro wrote:May somebody post here some pads mp3 samples? Thanx.
Also i hope Largo doesn't produce clicks and glitches on fast modulations and envelopes.
have to be careful with pads as the cpu hit is sometimes quite high but not always..for everything else though i.e drums, bas, leads etc the cpu hit is minimal..
Best

Everybody is talking about how good Largo sounds, let hear some samples. Also Does anyone have the Blofeld and Largo?
How do they compare to each other, or are they just two different sounding beast that complement each other?

I'd like to hear more sounds too, thinking of purchasing..Never did like the original demos that Waldorf posted, but there are some good ones here throughout the thread.
More pad sounds would be great to hear..

I emailed Waldorf a few months before they released Largo and asked if i could maybe do a factory bank for Largo but unfortunatley i did'nt get a reply..
anyways the included presets are good enough in my opinion..i like the DocT stuff and alot of the others.

So can somebody compare Largo vs Gladiator2 in terms of quality, usability, feature wise... They are both kinda wavetable synths. Mostly interesting in sound quality.

Don't have Gladiator to compareIgro wrote:So can somebody compare Largo vs Gladiator2 in terms of quality, usability, feature wise... They are both kinda wavetable synths. Mostly interesting in sound quality.
You'll probably no doubt get opinions of both from people using Largo and people using Gladiator saying such and such is best..it always happens here.
Go try Gladiators demo because Largo don't have one yet.
