can recycle export as .wav??

i was looking for a standalone program, but just downloadet the demo of image-lines slicex, and it seems like something i could use,it works (sofar)really good with renoise

im using renoise and plogue bidule as my main audio workhorses :D

Yeah too bad Zero-X stuff is no longer available :(
I've tried ReCycle, WaveSurgeon, etc but none of them come close.

The only good alternatives are Edison and Slicex, since these are by Image Line, I wouldn't be surprised if it has some Zero-X code here and there.

According to their website:
What file formats can ReCycle export
Most music software applications can use ReCycle's own REX2 files that contain both the sampled material and the timing info. ReCycle can also export the following file formats:

Standard MIDI file
AIFF
Sound Designer II
Wave file (.wav)
Mixman track file
SampleCell instrument file
SoundFont file
AKAI .akp Program file

As a matter of fact only Fruity Slicer has a BeatSlicer engine by zero x.
Edison and Slice X use a Elastique v1 engine ( AFAIK they will use the v2 engine in the next release) and they have a slicing engine of their own. But yes they could be a good alternative but only if you don't want to work on multiple loops at the same time or if you don't need batch processing capabilities.Beatcreator/Beatquantizer multitrack functions are quasi-unique and of course you won't find the same export options :
Wave files (.wav)
acidized wav files
SoundFont 2 (.sf2)
REX1 (.rex)
MAP (.map)
LM4 (.txt)
ZEX
TRK
SFZ - Slice markers.
ZGR - Zero-X Groove
ZSS - Zero-X Session (BeatQuantizer only)
MIDI
Image Line used to sell Beatcreator and beatquantizer but now they are selling only Beatslicer....
But you can still find the demo on this mirror website :

That said Edison slices/sample processing functions are quite good and even surpass in some areas those found in Zero X applications and it has the advantage of being available in VSTI.If your purpose is only to reorder and mangle loops inside your host than you should really consider SliceX , you can find a lot of video tutorial on youtube and on IL channel : .

I don't think you are. I own BeatCreator and the licence is contained in a .reg file that you have to execute to add the licence to the registry. If you open up the .reg file with notepad, you will notice that the licence is tied to a name. I haven't tried to change it to see if it works with a different name.
But then if it did, what would prevent anyone from selling this .reg file several times? I guess you'd need some kind of proof of purchase and Image-Line's approval.

i got BeatCreator a couple of years ago and it's the best loop slicing and rearranging tool I've ever used (and IMO it's far better than ReCycle if you don't need rx2)

yes of course !
But note that the rearranging of loops is made with the midi keyboard or the piano roll, you can not drag slices to an other part of the region screen display like in Live Slice or beatcreator for example, it would require an arranger display panel ... That said you have clearly more editing power abilities over the different slices .
As I have stated before there is a lot of tutorials available online and IL ones are located here :

you cant buy it,its down, and have been in a long time :x

thanx vonbrucken,im aware of it,but the rearranging with midikeyboard(or keys on computer keyboard)works great

Actually you can cut and paste slices to and from positions in SliceX.

Another good thing is the demo is almost fully functional. You can export wav regions and or entire wav with slice info embedded. You can't convert to 24bit in SliceX (only 16/32b) like in BeatCreator..

(Peter, where are you?)
The last e-mail reply I received from him was in October 2006. I'm assuming he simply wasn't making enough or perhaps any profit and handed sales over to Image-Line -- and even that didn't last long. His Seamless Looper is a gem.

Or perhaps he made so much money that he simply retired!
