So i chose Instruments forum to get more answers to this question.
Soon i will get a product which use eLicenser(it's Largo synth). I'm always see in different forums people have problems with it. This time don't advice to use dongle to me. Lets speak only about eLicenser.
So ones more i will ask some questions again:
1)Will I be able to easily register my product so many times as many times I format my PC or having a new PC?
2)Why people sometimes facing with problem "Your activation code is Invalid"
3)What mean function "Repair you activation" and this "Repair" function is restricted to use just for few times.
4) Will Syncrosoft always help, if you just can't register your product, and then they always find the solution to use product after registration problems.
5) Can you product become USELESS(not usable) cos of some errors made during registrations?
6) Do some registry cleaners harm eLicenser?
7) Your bad experiences with registering products which using eLicenser.
So many questions so far...

1) Yes but it's easier to do if you already have licence on dongleIgro wrote:So i chose Instruments forum to get more answers to this question.

2) because they don't read the instructions first
3) no idea mine worked first time
4) iv'e had no problems here
5) no because if you have the dongle and you have the 8 code of 4 letters you can download and do it again..i did this when internet connection was lost.
ps
the main cause of all installation problems i because people rip open their new software and start installation without following simple instructions..
some mothers do AV EM lol

to 1.)If you transferred the activation code to the USB dongle you can use this license on ANY computer you like. That license then works on only the ONE computer where you use the dongle.
to 2.) There's a possibility to use the activation code without a dongle. I didn't try that. If you transferred the activation code to the USB dongle using the "License Control Center" (LCC) you get a message like "Your activation code is successfully transferred to the hardware unit. That activation code is now invalid". This means that the activation code is moved to the USB dongle and could not be used to activate a second dongle.
With the License control center it's possible to move license from one USB dongle to another, if you want to have all licenses on one or many licenses on different dongles.
to 5.) If the transfer is not finished you could normally start it again until it's finished.
to 6.) I use a registry cleaner and never had a problem.
Be sure to always use an actual version of the License Control Center (LCC):

Hi, Rob! To be more correct, i want to know all this, but without using dongle at all. Maybe in future i will have it, but honestly don't like the idea it will always plugged into my laptop usb.rob_lee wrote:

So if i started to use eLicenser on one computer, then i will never use this product on other PC even if old PC recycled or distroyed? I mean not using any dongles. It's pure non-dongle thread.Ingonator wrote:to 1.)If you transferred the activation code to the USB dongle you can use this license on ANY computer you like. i see your point mate..however i always make sure if a piece of software can use this method (DONGLE) then i use it for safety reasons..
also if it's on a dongle you can install Largo on as many pc as you like as long as you carry your dongle with you.
i was offered the option of not using the dongle during installation and putting Largo on my hard drive..i refused and continued with setup using syncrosoft..
benefits of using dongle
no more install problems..the licence is on the key for good and if you sell Largo the new user has no transfer fees etc

If i choose not to transfer into dongle for now and put it straight onto harddrive, will be possible then in future to transfer it onto dongle?rob_lee wrote:i see your point mate..however i always make sure if a piece of software can use this method (DONGLE) then i use it for safety reasons..

Here, I have emphasised it for you or else you will probably get more dongle-dependent answers.Igro wrote: This time don't advice to use dongle to me. Lets speak only about eLicenser.
I believe this might be a tiny catch. When Rob Papen went e-licenser with Predator, you were only given two codes. Whether you can get more never became clear to me, but if you transfer your license, you will have to pay 8 euro so the new owner can have his syncrosoft activation. So there is a chance for a small fee if you format your HD and want more codes, I guess. I would check this with the particular companies to make sure.Igro wrote: 1)Will I be able to easily register my product so many times as many times I format my PC or having a new PC?

yes all you do is go to sycrosoft licence download and enter the code on your dvd box..then download licence onto the dongle.
this is possible because during installation you only installed on the hard drive therefore when you eventually go to put your licence on a dongle it will be rcognised as a first install..
someone from waldorf should confirm this if you enter LARGO in your thread topic and they see it...
im not on their payroll so im not qualified to make such statements hehe but im just saying how i did it..hope this helps

I will consider dongle, but not in near future. And...i will not consider dongle, if i theoretically(for now, as it's not yet cleared) will not have any problems with often re-registrations of eLicenser without dongle.

I have three dongles, one came with Korg Legacy Collection Digital Edition and the other two with Arturia products )Prophet + Jupiter). No dongle shipped with the Largo box. I transferred all licenses to one dongle so two are free now.Igro wrote:What dongle it should be, Steinberg dongle?
I guess there are only 2 types of dongles: Syncrosoft/elicenser and iLok.
Syncrosoft/eLicenser dongles are shipped by several software companies like e.g. Steinberg, Arturia or Korg. I guess only Steinberg sells them seperatly.
link: http://www.thomann.de/gb/steinberg_key.htm
i found also one by Vienna Instruments which is more expensive: http://www.thomann.de/gb/vsl_vienna_key.htm
Syncrosoft does not privide user support for elicenser anymore: http://www.syncrosoft.com/License_Contr ... 78-11.html
It's moved to: http://www.elicenser.net/en/home.html
They don't sell USB dongles themselves.
UPDATE: Also Rob Papen sells dongles on his page: http://www.robpapen.com/rp-dongle-syncrosoft.html
