As far as someone didn't notice. I published 49 + 1 patches for Largo here on KVR: http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=list&what=3620
They are either recreations from the PPG Wave plugin or own patches based on the PPG features.

thread about Largos wavetables : http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... 53#3649553

Since i have some experience with Largo now i just can say: waste no time and BUY it for god's sake !!
Some reasons:

1.) incredible sound, especially when using the wavetables
2.) perfect GUI, was a breeze while programming patches
3.) it's a Waldorf synth
4.) it can recreate PPG Wave or Microwave patches since all wavetables and other necessary features are inside.
5.) absolutely stable, no crashes the whole time i created patches. Saving patches with Ableton Live works perfectly.
6.) the "copy sound" and "paste sound" (or "copy layer") function is awesome. Helped much to transfer the basic "PPG structure" to the next patch.
6.) many more features than i used so far.

Only thing i really missed was a decent PPG filter like in the Q or the Blofeld. The 12dB LP filter of Largo does that job quite good but not perfect.

Thank you very much! New sounds are always welcome! Will check them out...

I updated my PPG patches bank today. Now it contains 60 patches. The bank contains all my former patches so older version can be deleted. I added an init patch and an init bank.
link: http://www.kvraudio.com/banks.php?s=lis ... order=date

The bank mostly contains pads and polsynth patches. A few patches are bass, lead or keys. Most are typical "digital" wavetable sounds but several more "analog" sounding patches are contained too.

GENERAL HINT: For all those who think that Largo has only 128 preset sounds that's wrong. It contains 237 patches but only as fxp files. No bank files included. I made banks containing all patches but i'm not sure if i could publish them due to copyright reasons.
I made the banks using the preset manager of MiniHost, like i do with most synths.

+1 on your opinion of it. Those demos were enlightening, I have to say. Only one thing left to clarify:
[about the Blofeld]It's more hands-on, has more wavetables, and can also get the Sample Wave option. I don't think Largo's getting that one.
The Blofeld has 4 basic waveforms (sine, saw, triangle, square), 65 wavetables, the Alt 1 and Alt 2 wavetables from the Q and the UpperWavetables. That's a total of 4 basic and 68 wavetables. AFAIK, the Largo has the same. Can anyone confirm?

Also, I have a question regarding oscillator 3 - does it support wavetables? (on the Blofeld, you can use wavetables on only two of the oscillators)

Post

Yes 4 basic and 68 wavetables Osc 3 only has Pulse/Saw/Triangle and Sine..

Why you mention on your website, that Largo required a Dongle for installation?
And btw, i'm trying to contact Waldorf support by email, but haven't get any answers during two days. I used this email listed here: http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/home scroll down.

Yeah that's what im excited about...my personal guess is that it could be that we can load in our own waves to LARGO that would be tops :)

I don't understand, why there are so many people wanting custom samples in every synth. I personally wouldn't even think to bother with cumbersome and tedious process of recording and processing my own samples.
So, where do people get those samples they eagerly want to load, and what do they want to do with them that a good sampler doesn't allow? I.e., why do you need specifically Largo to load samples? And are you not getting enough from the wavetables and sound design possibilities that are already in Largo? I mean why would you choose not to explore these possibilities to their full extent, before thinking about importing samples?
