Hard rock drum loops?

I'm working on a project in the style of AC/DC. Looking through my loop collection I've found the rock grooves from the '50 rex loops' to be among the best fitting. What's my best bet in getting more of these - I gather they're from the R.A.W. Universal Groove Kit, but surely this contains a ton of other stuff that I don't really need. Or are they from the Vintage Rock Grooves pak? Or can you suggest a different set altogether? Secondary question: is there any overlap in the sounds from the Universal Groove Kit and the Rex paks?

There isn't much overlap between Universal Groove Kit and the individual R.A.W. (or Rex) Style Paks. There is maybe a little taste in the UGK but out of 5,000 we're talking about less than 60 that are in any given particular individual Style Pak and even then it is not ALWAYS the case.

I think Vintage Rock is a great one to have. If you have the Infinite Player which is on sale right now for half off (just $50) on www.esoundz.com or right here: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=2459 in the soundz for download plug-ins section then you could get the Classic Rock set which has them as multitrack kits and grooves. http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=2548

Another thing you might be interested in are new Construction Kits in Rex, Apple Loops and Wave formats that are in rock styles which are coming this week to esoundz for just about $10 each.

Thanks, Squids.

I've gotta say I'm overwhelmed at the options when browing your site. One product that caught my eyes and ears was the Matt Sorum collection for Drumcore. How come the download version is actually more expensive than the DVD?

And could you please tell me more about these construction kits or post a link here when they're available?

Squids I have 2 questions, no actually 3 now...
1. I got The Group Buy for the "Studio Profiles Rock and Soul Multitrack Bundle" that had the R.A.W. multitrack grooves for Bonzo Beats, Motown Session Grooves Vol 1 and Ring Beats Grooves Vol 1. Will that play in the Infinite Player which you have on sale now for half off? :?

2.What is the difference between the Infinite Player and the Universal Groove Kit? I'm interested in the multitrack only aspect of drums. Which one is better for that? It's probably been discussed many times but went blew by me. :?

3.The new Construction Kits in Rex, Apple Loops and Wave formats coming out this week. Are they multitrack and what format (Infinite Player or Universal Groove Kit)? :? :help:

Can I please just bump this thread of mine - I've found some Ampligroove loops called 'ag3rockdrums_XX'. They sound like overheads. What collection are they taken from, and does it have the bass drum sounds?

Bump for eSoundz expertise.

Could be just a site maintenance mistake. This came up a while back on an item I was interested in. A quick note to allen-at-esoundz-dot-com cleared it all up.

1. I've got the same bundle-it should show up right in your Infinite Player. An easy way to tell with any product you have is to simply drag the downloaded zip folder (don't unpack it) right onto the IP logo. If it automatically unpacks and loads, it's an IP formatted product.

2. The Universal Groove Kit is simply a great collection of Rex, Apple, and Wave formatted loops. Any sampler or DAW that reads any of these formats should be able to play these loops. They are catagorized nicely according to genre, bpm and instrument.

Infinite Player, on the other hand, is a dedicated sampler that plays IP formatted products. Some of the loop collections from the Universal Groove Kit have been re-formatted and packaged to play in IP, but you can't just take the UGK loops and play them in IP yourself.

Some IP products are in multi-track format, which is really cool. But others are just traditional stereo formatting. Multi-track sets are usually designated as "MT" (for Multi Track) somewhere in the title.

3. Squids will have to confirm this for the set you're asking about, but so far, any of the R.A.W. packages are just loops sets as described above unless SPECIFICALLY formatted for IP.
