If you're into fairly retro electronic music, you could find something you like on it, it moves between 50's and 70's atmospheres, more or less.
Very nice work man.

Been listening to Powerless on repeat, awesome tune. You could develop the track further, it really deserves it.

+1000 (well, except for the "push the track further", for me it's more "don't move anything!")
Man you did a great job!
I'm sending this link to a friend who's the biggest fan of tangerine Dream ever. He's gonna be shocked

Thanks :) I do go back to some of my tracks every now and then, so I just might do that in the future. Funny that you mention this track, another guy wrote me and said that's his favorite... I'll try and listen to it in a while with fresh ears :) Anyway, thank you for listening, I'm glad you liked it!

Hey, that's nice :) Maybe we could start a thread for little "self-jingles" like this :)

If you want, you can send your TD fan friend these links, too:

Say hi to him for me, and thanks again for the kind words :)

+1 for "Powerless". I think also "Defining Moments" has a strong impact, I like a lot the solo at the beginning and the way the first part fade away to let Mr. Tron come in and then develop again. And also "Asylum": the flute sound recalls a lot some works of Delia Derbishire. Ok stop (I could write a review for every track).

And (couldn't resists)...

This is my first try with the Elektrostudio bundle. Not yet finished because I'm having problems with Ocet and Rhythmus :( I have to figure out how they work...

Ocet don't remember the patterns when I reload the project in Sonar (I've found the "save" button on the GUI too late so I had to write the drum part from scratch again). Aonother problem I had is related with triggering: sometimes Ocet seems unable to receive the notoff command, so the pattern continue playing over and over (I have to close and reopen the project). Also when I use Ocet the system seems a little bit overloaded (dropouts and audio stopping in Sonar). I had to render the drum part and import them in a new audio track.

Problems with Rhythmus: the original version has a strange behaviour in sync mode with the host, in fact does not sync at all (it sounds off beat). The update version sync very well but it seems there's no way to control the start stop button... is it automatable? I'm missing something?

And yes... I had my first experience with the sound burst bug last night. Has been a really frightening experience! :hihi:

Anyway I'm having a lot of fun with these synths :D
Any suggestion about Ocet and Rhythmus is appreciated ;)

Good idea, these weird intro's used to scare the heebegeebees out of me when i was a kid :D

I got the idea from the Ghost Box label's artists actually, they all have their own logo tones (some have several).

Another good idea is to do haunting opening soundtracks to series that never existed, like Moon Wiring Club does:

I can hear some TD'ness in it but really it reminded me of Oxygene 4. So maybe a reorganisation into a verse-chorus structure would take it further. You've already got the verse melody, just need the chorus.
It's also got a strong similarity to The Final Countdown.

How's that for inspiration. :P

I've gone back to the original version. It's loud-er, like a real Minipops 7. And the way the start button works on the new one is wierd when used in a host. The sounds work ok, but I think the gui doesn't respond how it should to the new version of the start stop button.

There's no doubt though that Rhythmus still needs a lot of fine tuning. Some of the percussion instruments sound very much unlike an MP7.

And a damn good one it is!! You must make a whole album, this would make a great signature tune to a tv series, so go on and record the soundtrack or I'll kick your butt!

By the way, I find it very interesteng how each one of us who have posted tracks here sounds different from the others, even if the instruments are the same... amazing! So much for the morons who say it's the instrumets that make the music in EM and not the musicians...

That's a bug it's got, in Cubase it doesn't even recall the saved program, you have to upload it again avery time you open the project - DNA, you're probably going to work on it, right? No prob for me, as I use the single sounds, but it would be nice if it could be fixed...

Another little bug, I experience that too, I guess it comes with modulation...

Simple solution: since it starts with a midi note as well (if you set the internal channel and the sequencer's channel on 1), you can simply create a single 4-beat-note pattern and multiply it, that way you can start from any point and it will sync perfectly.

Hey, I like that track :) Kitschy and great at the same time  And seeing Joy Tempest makes me laugh every time

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions, should I go back to it in the future, I'll certainly keep it in mind :) Right now, though, I have to concentrate on finishing BIOnighT's latest album (we celebrate our tenth year of music and friendship this year, which is not bad at all) before my Pard kills me for being lazy... :(
Thanks again, I appreciate it!

Thank you Mac ;) To be honest I'm already working on something and this track follow the mood of the other three (almost finished) tracks, so I think "Next Here" will be featured on the forthcoming album (and I'll have a story to tell about his title too :hihi:).

I was thinking the same thing last night. Not so strange after all, tweaking knobs is like mixing colors for a painter: same colors, different results. I think patch programming is probably one of the most important steps in production and the mood of the musician, emotional state, etc. influence for sure the color of the sound.

Yes, same thing here. :( Hope can be fixed ASAP.

We are talking about the update here, right? This is exactly what I've tried to do! :( But it starts only when I press the button on the GUI, no MIDI start/stop here (well I've use it on channel 1 with the int channel set to "all"... is this which makes the difference?).
