what did you use to get that sound?

If you're talking about the drums then, I used EZD/DFH.
the fx chain goes as follows:
Kick: Pushtec-Classic Compressor-W1 Limiter
Snare Top and Bottom are foldered with: Pushtec and W1 Limiter.
Hi-Hats: You Wa Shock!
Toms: ReaComp and ReaEQ
Overhead: Classic Compressor and You Wa Shock!
Room: down to about 50%


If your talking Guitars then:
Line 6 PodFarm with Metal Expansion pack:
Noise Gate>Screamer>Angel P-Ball>4x12 1996 Brit Celest V-30's>Room 34%>57 on axis>Compressor>EQ


Thats pretty much the default tone setup for me now.

I usually use the stock midi files that come with DFH and add/subtract hits to suit the needs.
So programmed and pre-programmed would be a fair description.
