yes, and they've announced that they've changed their whole company philosophy about it, pretty much overnight; in fact they said there'll also be a free point-update to Reason (v4.33), which will allow hosting of VST/VSTi as well as allow it to run as a VST itself.

It's only taken em almost a decade.

Well you know how carefully Props plan things before they implement them.

Gotta say though, I'm really impressed with how well this is running on my Google Chrome OS. I reckon that the Props must be the first major developer to have a fully working VST host on Chrome

I think they're going to have it working in Firefox by the morning, but that might just be a rumor.

Will probably be the day after if not.

That's not even the best of it. I heard that you can take a photograph of just about any old classic hardware synth, upload it into Record, and it will make a fully functional, analog sounding, modeled version, VST out of it.

It will work better if you use a polaroid... Using a digital camera will add artefacts which may affect the sound... You know, that cold digital sound...

The Linux version is going to be free for non-commercial use if I understand correctly.

has anyone tried it yet? i got onto the beta team, the RC was released today.

I've been on the beta test and have one major feature request. I want to be able to import multiple files at a time. I was gonna try and use it just for it's mixing capability but it would take way too long to import tracks the way that they want you to.
