It's nice to have a filter for every part but it would be nicer to also have a main filter - especially a waldorf version...

If we just released one note, which has long release and while release still playing and we press other note, then how many notes playing at time, one or two?

Ok, thanks. So this small sample need two voices of polyphony selected.
But if release was set to zero, then it's still one voice?(with the same example, where notes are pressed separetely).

Assuming no reverb, delay, etc... then yes. You may as well make it monophonic though, if that's what you want. A Polyphonic sound is pointless having only 1 voice.

It can certainly make sounds that would be appropriate in the context of a trance track, so far as existing tracks sound. Whether it's a good trance synth would be down to you

Yes. The Blofeld has a "Eurotrance" (or Eurodance?) and "Supersaw" lead. They sound pretty convincing. If the Blofeld can do it, I don't see why Largo couldn't.

Other than that, pads and basses are pretty covered

If you check the last pages of this thread and my Largo patches in the KVR database you will see many people discussed about using Largo for hypersaw/supersaw sounds.

Nothing special about your post but generally i have the feeling that many people here only check the last three posts and miss everything before. I had cases where i had to write things three times until someone replied to that.

Well just got my copy and so far impressed with unique sound and what must be the best GUI of any VSTi.

I haven't had it long enough to make a fair comment about the sound, but looking at the installation log (from a dedicated uninstaller) I'm a bit miffed now.. I just made a superclean and fast OS install, and along comes Largo and not only installed the elicenser and tons of thing related to it, but also .NET 2. No one said anything about that.

The install log has about a thousand (!) entries from registry additions and changes, to endless folders and files made absolutely all over the place. It even wanted new OS startup entries.

All it should have been was a dll and some subfolders in my VST folder, this is too much. I always shrugged when people moped about these type of VST schemes, but now I know what they mean. I will seriously consider any future VSTs for their OS footprint.

BTW when i bought Largo the Waldorf Edition LE was on the CD, i guess in the folder "additional content". I guess it should also be there in the newer CDs. This works on Windows 7 32-bit but seems to have problems with 64-bit OS.
