No it doesn't ask for a dongle. You COULD use a dongle if you have one. You can also download the license to your HD but then it only work on one computer. The License Control Center (LCC) is the same for both possibilities.

The authorization code should be sent by email.

9/10 times if a product is dongled, the demo for it will be dongled as well. it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise.

After the install it asks for the dongle and if i wanna load it into the host it also ask for the f**king dongle.

I'll deinstall this now because Waldorf is unable to release a working demo.

just tried this.

seems like a good product but it didn't really move me. maybe it's because i haven't owned a microwave or Q or whatever this is based on, but, gonna pass. didn't really like the colors or the way it looks either.

the demo was easy to install and remove - same with the license. when i tried to download it to my dongle it failed and crashed LCC but i did it again downloading it to the computer and that one worked fine.

one thing i noticed CPU use was like non existent, didn't blip the ext 1.4x bar even granted i only thumbed through about 20 presets from the top of the list down. so great job on that front it seems.

It would be nice to see a working method. After entering the code from the email and downloaded the license, it is activated till Aug 9 but I can not see Largo as an instrument in any sequencer. Do I have to run Synchrosoft center in the background? What is the problem?

Like i stated above you need the LCC for bot using a dongle or copying the license to the HD. In the first case you transfer the license to the dongle, in the other case to the harddisk. The advantage of the dongle is it works on every computer but always only on one at the same time. The second advantage is that the license can not get lost opposing to putting it on a HD (can crash).

Wow.. One instance of largo, pick up some random pad preset, pressing four notes and my cpu meter screams mercy. Filters sound's bad, overal sound is bad. What the hell was that hype? V-Station which is old as hell sound so much better than this synth
