Did you check this? http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/archive?r ... rgo/soundsrob_lee wrote:Largo does fat basses easily.. it has 2 sub oscs per layer so that's fat enough..you can get amazing sounds from this vst...problem is that people don't seem to like the factory presets which is fine but the best way to judge is to create your own from scratch and you'll have much more fun.
i have a full "init" bank for anyone who wants it to make their own presets..and Largo is'nt that big on cpu if you use the fx etc sparingly![]()
just my opinion of course..there will be those who love the waldorf sound and those who don't and if you don't just buy something else or stick with what youv'e got...it really is that simple![]()
rob
init bank already there.

Sorry Waldorf guy. I was under crack. Largo is a great instrument (after all "largo" means "large"). But please, my beloved newbies, focus your attention on the synth and stop commenting on my opinion. After all I've only used different words to say what other people said before and after me: Largo - in his current incarnation - is not perfect or, in other words, have a lot of issues, or in other words is not exactly what (someone) expected, or in other words (my words) sucks. That's all. I can't understand what is the problem here.Igro wrote:This post was created by Waldorf guy. Did you forget it? Calm down.

again...No! There is a difference in saying imho and shouting out: This synth sucks!IncarnateX wrote:So are statements like:filterfilter wrote:hmm, are you right? that makes sense and would not be arrogant, because fact is that other people is not you!
Unless, of course, that you really mean that your oppinions are over and above all others and thus define what IS a good synth and what IS a bad synth in general. Now THAT would be arrogant...and infantile...and pretty stupid!
statements like: "somebody should tell the truth: this synth really suck!" are arrogant, infantile, stupid!

For example: Largo sucks, IMHO.

i want know if largo saw and pulse waves sounds same than Blofeld ? and i ask also this for filtter ? i found some nice sounding patch (i mean saw and pulse sounds nice in these patches) what uses these waves and of course of filter. but this seems very cpu hungry plugin.
(so hungry i cannot use this plugin anything) but currently i know synths what i like much more. ps. i only test now with demo version but still. ps. also this feature makes my very angry why even today most of softsynths lfo rates are not hz and time values are also in ms. in these synths what i like i think time values are human understandable. Even nicest (at least to me) analog emulations have this.

Largo means "long" .
Don't turn your back on us , our beloved Yoda .
Don't you have a synth yourself to focus your attention on ? .
Very poor .

there are no situation where software sounds the same as hardware.
in my system, largo isn't eating up resourses at all, when using all 4 parts.

2) IMHO people are idiots because they do not share my oppinion

Naively or otherwise I think Massive is its closest competitor.
I much prefer the look of Massive and the whole GUI including patch organising etc....but I prefer the sound of Largo.... However there is no way I can justify the current price. At the very least it needs to be at the same price as Massive for me to consider buying it. But thanks for the demo, allows us to find out for ourselves first hand.
