If you like to have the normal pitchbend function back it's just a few mouse clicks.zvenx wrote:yes I noticed that last night....not a fan of that at all, but to each his own.DocT wrote:
Don't forget trying the pitch bender. My patches often use pitchbend for something different than pitch.

thanks for the response, but to me that is a problem in using unconvential 'kool' ideas...clearly I am not the target audience however
...other than that I like your patches......very unusual and would add edges to some of the stuff I do....but if I am going to use them as patches or leads, I need the pitch bend to work as pitchbend.

Something about Largos (=Blofelds) wavetables and the corresponding synths:
1.) wavetables "Alt 1" + "Alt 2" : Waldorf Q + Micro Q
2.) wavetables "Resonant" up to "MicroPWM" (+ Upper Waves") : PPG Wave 2.2 / Microwave / Microwave XT
3.) wavetables "Resonant" up to "Chorus 2" : Waldorf Wave / Microwave II + XT
link for Waldorf Wave : http://www.unofficial.waldorf-wave.de/
All wavetables under "Wave-tables" (click on the link on the left side). Click on the wavetables to see a bigger version with the wavetable name.
4.) wavetables "Resonant" up to "TruePWM" : Waldorf Microwave II / XT

Damn! So dark pads can produce this thing. I just can't stop playing. I put chorus, then reverb after(wet 100%) and now manually change the waves in wavetable. Amazing.
Aprx 8000 cyclewaves has Largo at total. That's enough for long time. Transient wavetable is for very silky pads.

I just discovered that it's possible to import Microwave 2 / XT soundbanks (mid-files) into my Emagic Sounddiver Editor even when i don't have the hardware. I could open the patches which maybe leads to the possibility of recreating Microwave patches 1:1. Only problem is the envelope for the wavetable modulation which has many more steps in the Microwave.

Ah, there is also the issue with totally different filter modes included in the MW XT.

This may be off the current thread but I noticed that no one mentioned that Largo sits in the track with my other synths quiet nicely. I'd be interested in what others experiences on this matter.

Great synth with fantastic presence imo. Unique, lively and aggressive sounds pour out of it.

Well, kvr has produced some fine whine in its time.
