Got FL Studio about a month ago and decided to mess around with it in my free time. Hopefully I've made some progress, you guys would know better.
Don't really know what type of music this would fall under. I know the composition is a little random.
90 tempo
11 mb
Take a listen, and PLEASE tell me how I can improve:

It sometimes takes days or even weeks to catch up on KVR.TheAK wrote:I didn't know beginners weren't allowed to get feedback and criticism on their tracks here...
I see your whining about how nobody listens to your song before I hear your song.
If you want my advice, it would be "don't whine."

Did you program the drums yourself from scratch?

Of course, anyone are welcome to get feedback here. I really don't know what's wrong with the posters of the previous replies
It got a heavy Hip-Hop'ish beat mixed with some elctro, nice. But it's too long for the purpose if nothing else happens. I waited a long time for the break to enter, where the drum loop ends and the synth continious. I also find the ending a bit abrupt.
But definitely a nice take, if you only got FL for a few months. Kudos and welcome to KVR.
If you can afford it and want some premium Hip Hop beats to play with, then I highly recommend to get this. Just listen to the demos

[edit] While deleting the continued noise, I disposed of all of bluedad's comment while I should have left the part relevant to this thread. Here is his comment on the song:

I listened to your tune - not my thing, but you're a lot further along than I was using FL Studio after a month!

This tune reminds me a bit of something off The Grid's album '456' from 1992. Quite nice.

The file link that you requested is not valid.
FYI, the best way to get people to listen and review a track is to post your track, and then go listen and review like 4 - 8 tracks by other people. It's probably OK to post a link to your KVR post in your review of other people's tracks just to make it easy for them to find. Be thoughtful in your reviews and you'll be more likely to get responses in kind.
(I haven't checked to see if you did this already, just passing on what I've found to work for me.)

A month? You, my friend, are making great progress indeed
As was stated previously, it's too long and ends very abruptly so it could do with some editing. Saying that though it's a nice mix and has a good feel to it. Nice work.
Welcome to KVR
Neil

This is interesting...well thanks for replies guys, and I mean the ones backing me up when I say I have a right to post and be critiqued as the noob I am. Anyways, musicman7 I can also understand your frustration as KVR does have a certain reputation to uphold in terms of quality. But there will always be noobs as I see it--gotta start somewhere right.
Anyways I took some of your comments and others I got into consideration and yesterday I redid the song to make it sound like this. I downloaded the Elektrostudio plugins and they really changed my mix (right now I'm all freebies since Im low on cash) Please take a listen:

Better?
Also, I made this short song yesterday. I didn't really set out to make this type of music, but this is just what came out from experimentation so I went with the flow (I'm a progressive tech/house person though). It's chill though and has a lazy vibe:

One thing I noticed is that the scratchiness and rattle on the lower kicks during the start are really noticeable. How do I get rid of that?
Thanks again for your comments and taking the time to listen, I really appreciate it as Im trying to learn

You don't have to. I fixed it. Don't bother with the URL tag, just type the link as plain text and let the board interpret it. Make one more post and your links will become clickable.TheAK wrote:Why did it just --- my post. UGH it was a long one too. I'll have to re-write it.
