How does one get it from Native? The beta DM content I mean, for us testers without it.
Cheers

For now you should be able to get it through NI's service center. A new website specifically for it is planned for the first week of August though which will be easier.andywright67 wrote:How does one get it from Native? The beta DM content I mean, for us testers without it.

However, the new update for DM 1.5 is backward compatible with the current Infinite Player so you don't NEED it. But it will look different and have enhanced functionality of the engine on top of the enhanced functionality of our scripts which you will be able to check out even with your current Infinite Player set up (zero hassle, just drag and drop some NKI files into the Instruments folder and you'll be good to go).
So, with that said, we will be look to see which of you guys have ordered what and if you own the kit already or groove set and you've responded to this thread then we'll hit you up with beta patches this coming week! Should be fun. A lot of nice new features. I'll go over it with you guys and maybe do a little screen shot tutorial in this thread. This is going to be fun. It's the first time we've done a sort of "public beta". We might even offer up a free kit and free Infinite Player trial so ANYONE can check it out (at least for a stereo kit and maybe a little taste of a multitrack groove set as well). So if you want to tell anyone outside of this thread to keep an eye on this thread then that's fine. It could be a nice "Try before you buy" thing for some people who are curious about Infinite Player and Drum Masters.

Hi Dave,
I don't have anything as yet so would require a trial for IP and the content if possible. That's what I meant.
Cheers,
Ash

Ah, so no V-drum kits for this trial? I've already got the 3.5 player, but no DM stuff.

There's V-Drum kits in both the beta kits for Drum Masters users AND the trial version of Infinite Player + one free kit (the JB Sonor stereo kit). Oh it's on! Round robin (selectable and editable), V-drum mapping, GM mapping, iMapping and even your own custom map with midi learn! So map it to anything you want in minutes.algodon wrote:Ah, so no V-drum kits for this trial? I've already got the 3.5 player, but no DM stuff.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay. We're going to have this beta soon but it is going through a first round here in house and then I may want to do a screen capture video manual on it first. It's DEEP and a massive update from the current version so it might be helpful to have that... I mean, you can just enjoy it and NOT use all the custom features too but for that purpose you can just wait for the FREE update to 1.5 release version. If you really want to test out the new features though then we'll get you betas soon. It's starting to turn into a MONSTER of a plug-in though. Pretty crazy! There's nothing quite like it. Now that we have EZ Player Pro for FREE with Drum Masters and Ocean Way Drums I am also doing some custom iMap midi with an interesting twist. Basically this stuff is just going to get better and better until everyone cries Uncle and buys it.
We also have some new drum kits coming in the next two months including the Jerry Marotta TAOS kit and more.

Anything new on this? I'm eager to start up with it.
I recently got the Ocean Way DL, and those kits sound incredible with the new EZPlayer Pro midi files. The OWD is very easy to use and set up/tweak, and sounds great right out of the box.
The Drum Masters, on the other hand, has some great kits and pieces, but as we have previously discussed, in its present form, is just way too much work to get satisfactory results with midi files. Some 'Squids approved' kit mix settings/patches would be much appreciated along with the software update.
Is there an ETA for the Beta testing?

Yeah, what B said. I did use the Ocean Way MT kits with a TD-9 V-drums brain and I didn't notice anything too bad. If I get the time I can probably document what tweaks I did on the TD-9 since I didn't have to use any MIDI mapper or anything. Of course I'd rather have a TD-20 module fall out of the sky for the positional sensing but that ain't gonna happen. In other words, I'm hoping the V-Drum mappings aren't a huge part of this as far as the timeline since it isn't too bad as it is. Certainly usable. Oh, and awesome-sounding which goes without saying.
