You know, if you're a SE snob--your loss.
Sonic--It's not that I don't know how to save a preset, it's the 8 stage envelope thing I can't get my head around. (Too much time spent trying to program my simple stuff, I guess-LOL)

...anyhoo, it's a first class freebie.
edit: Actully after gettin deeper into the programming of this synth, it can produce some pretty insteresting results.
I started to program it a little bit after seeing the reactions to my post, ehh... maybe as an apologise i should supply some presets? What do you think, Sonic Assault?
you wouldn't walk past it at a carboot sale, would ya? it's midi, it saves presets and makes a noise. that'll do for a start...

There aren't enough good strictly PD synths available, and Kassiopeia! is one of the best. The large MSEG's (16 stages!) are comprehensive and easy to manipulate. Once you grasp what's going on it's easy to create sounds and soundscapes. If anyone doesn't like Kassiopeia! then they probably don't like PD synthesis.

Many thanks Debutante for the manual. I didn't even know there was one. Any links tp Casio CZ presets. I've got a whole Moog patch book, but other synths are harder to find.

This is why I thought you were having problems saving presets. I assumed you'd read the manual. Nevermind, it seems fairly obvious nobody ever does. I know much of the free stuff doesn't actually come with any documentation, so I think this may be the reason people don't actually look in the zip files for a manual.osiris wrote:Many thanks Debutante for the manual. Rottweiler you are a gentleman, sir. Presets are always welcome.Rottweiler wrote:Well, its up to you, i will be the happiest if you can use it in any released music =).Debutante wrote:Rottweiler wrote:i hope the developer dont give a fukk about my opinion but this is just another freeware SE made synth :S, not worth the time imo.

I just thougth i would share my experience, and those who knows my taste/expectations dont have to download it, even if its a bit rude to the developer , given that it is free.

Actually, to test synths, I first pull them up in VSTHost. Which is a shame because I thought the folder was the standard SE folder the pluggy made. I was ahamed to see the pdf in there after a little looky-loo. Don't blame me--too much acid during my formative years.....

You lucky ones! IMO, CZ1000 is one of the most good-looking synths.BFunKu wrote:I already got my CZ-1000 pulled out it's right in front of me.michael2 wrote:... guess i could always pull out my CZ1000, but i'm lazy.
I remember when i first saw one, i was so pleasantly surprised by its visuals, that i stared without touching it for a while, and the salesman asked me "don't you want to play it?"

This looks promising, I promised myself not to download another SynthEdit PD Synth, but this might be the one. Does it have the same features/parameters as the CZ, and nothing more or less?

Thanks for this. Last week i got my CZ1000 out of the attic. It worked for a bout 10 minutes and then died (I haven't used it for years) vastly underrated synth IMO and the only one I could ever afford. Anyone know about how to fix them....
