<Balls>
This plug allows 4 'Ball Bearings' to bounce on in the incoming audio. There are a variety of parameters which control the resultant sound:

Size of ball: length of sample taken
Weight of ball: 'Loudness' of sample playback
Squidgyness of ball: Oh yes! Virtual Ball Bearings can morph into soggy wet paper bags... A Low value will give more bounces, a High value fewer (have you ever tried playing tennis with a soggy wet paper bag?)
Height ball dropped from: determines the time between 'Bounces'
Pan: ..you can work that one out...
Boing: determines whether the sample 'boings' (actually LP/HP filter)
Rez: ..again, I won't patronise you!
Spatial: just listen..
Bouncing: now here I draw the line - if you can't get this one...

Once a bounce has run it's course, it automatically bounces again.

Each ball is fully automatable via VST automation.
I was going to make it all random, but then the good take/ bad take thing could really irritate people.
Like the Titanic, this plug is virtually unsyncable. With some art, you could get it in shape, but it doesn't care about tempo - it drops balls.
</Balls>

<Theory>
There is NO physical modelling here.
I ignored Newton too.

The deterioration of the bounce is driven by the Squidgyness.
When the current loudness falls below a predetermined level, or the gap between bounces is negligable, the bounce is restarted.

If anything this uses a Kerplunk/Phong algorithm - you get nicely shaded marbles on your audio.
</Theory>

Let me know what you think.

'Dangling plastic carrots', is just not on you know?
CamelPhatFree is FREE.

SuperCamelPhat is a demo.

You need to download CamelPhatFREE (you'll find the link to the free download underneath the table where you downloaded the demo)

Enjoy the Phat! i used it for ages on my drums

I tried it on long notes being played by Rez, and it works magic into the song played...

Thanks for providing a list such as this.... Helpful, organized and inspiring....[/quote]

What about breaking this list out based on OS? For example, most of the links i have opened dont support os x.

Hi All,

My first post after lurking in the dark corners of this site for some time (longer than I care to admit) :oops:
Anyways, I didn't see anyone post a link for the PSP PianoVerb.
Here it is:

Very unique (and useable!)

Hi,

wonderful list, I'm seeing it the first time, a bit late...
As a vocoder I like the www.vocoder-plugins.com "4ormulator". Is shareware, (some 49%) but there is a freeware-VST-version (and directX I think) which has 32 presets and is lots of fun. The plugin does much more than only "vocoding".
Then "Computer music" in the newest edition I think has a "Spring" reverb from the same producers than psp piano verb, and it's free too (don't know if it is somewhere else to be found, at least it is on the CD of CM).

As for "BLUELINE" this is kind of stupid. The producer said in his "readme" all users should pay for the blueline2-plugins (which actually work without nag screen, time-out or sth.) so he could do other plugins. I paid, when starting with music ont he PC, 25 Euro to him (he lives in Germany) as he requested a year ago and wrote e-mails to him. Instead of getting some key or update or other plugins or anything I NEVER got any answer, nothing at all. There seems to be nothing new now for over a year and I should have spent the money better as a donation for really active people like at smartelectronics and many more... That's not the kinda thing you'd expect, asking for money and no answer or suggestion or whatsoever. Not that I'd wanted to get flowers :-) or some big thanks, but I would have liked if new plugs were on the way or something :-).

My favourites as freeware-plugins are the old rgcaudio-reverb and high-frequency-stimulator, from db-audio the tempo delay, the bigtick-hexaline, the classic-plugs (www.kjaerhus.com I think) and all those wonderful plugs from smartelectronics and from Sascha Eversmeier (fish fillets and others, don't know the address but all of those above are in the list for a while :-. I do like the Abyss-plugins too, mentioned above in the thread, the Hi-contort for example and the reverb. Then for destruction of wav-files of stupid radio-shows in Bavaria, Germany where they like to talk stupidly bad about other musicians (while finding others cool it has to be admitted) and talking most others-bashing postmodern stuff (it's out out out out to do this and that-style) I like again the smartelectronics-plugs and those from arcdev .-). It's really a shame to listen to that "oh I am so cool and the others are f**king crap as they don't believe in our postmodern ideology" stuff, and it's wonderful to have such plugins there, at least for me :-).

Nice roundup there. I like the Spring verb and HF stimulator and am using them a lot. PSPs Spring Reverb only appears on CM. The latet CM also has 101 plugins - it's all too much to handle. These includea alot from Blue, which you mentioned, are these any good?

One I use often is rgc's reverb. For a freebie I can't find anything wrong with it.
