Best host for a touchscreen system

Just got HP TX2 touchscreen laptop. I've been out of the world of computer audio for some years. Simply using Cubase seems like a waste of the nice touchscreen possibilities. What would be a best DAW to use with your fingers? Preferably something with a lot of XY pads etc

Usine by far...especially if you have one of those nice multitouch screens...not so good for Wacom screens, though. Pens are not practical with it other than it's precision, but you don't need it for the interface.

yep , Usine is the best candidate i think too..
you can built your own interface really quickly and he has many tools/object like X,Y pads , little sequencer for data or midi, balls and more..

Usine seems awesome. Thanks! Too bad that I decided to return the machine before I could try it out. The multitouchscreen was currently lame. It only obeyed some multifinger gestures without actual multitouch control. I'll wait for a few months until Windows 7 will be released, which has full multitouch support. No need to buy a Lemur anymore (BTW I heard that the Lemur software will become available when the touchscreens hit the market).

When Win 7 comes out, I'm definitely getting a nice multitouch screen! It may not be a TouchSmart (though I love those things) because they seem to be iMac-ish, ie. not really expandable.

Reason is great on a tablet. Kinetic is pretty good but you have to run it in landscape mode.

Surprised no mention of Tracktion, its one-window, drag-and-drop interface would be ideal for touchscreens...Hopefully development will pick up on it again...
