Nitrox

Worked for me the first time. Internet is strange sometimes... :)

And oh while I'm at it. Test the sequencers as input for the ADSR envelopes, different for each oscilator. Can really give some funky stuff going.

Nitrox is wonderful. Lots of very interesting wave form and shaping option, really extensive modulation possibilities and nice filters.
Going to donate right now!

Post

Couldn't donate much, but at least €4.00 is donated. But I can asure you this is worth much more than that.

I've donated, too --- wish I could spare more, really!

I am surprised there is not more rave around that one because it really deserves it IMO.

Perhaps the dude who makes it is lacking a covert marketing department :hihi:

Or maybe it's just because everyone is on hollidays

Bump anyway.

I started auditioning Nitrox and really like it. When switching to one of the first ten presets going down the list in order, I got a huge spike in FL Studio.
I'm hoping it was caused by something else I had loaded. Will try again with Nitrox as only instrument loaded.
Has anyone experienced any problems with it?

Post

I had some spikes from tweaking a preset. I didn't try switching presets while playing. You should fiddle with it carefully.

Thanks for feedback, Jed.
Will be gentle..

Some problems with the square waveform and hard sync. They tend to blow out the sound causing me to restart FL.

I've got to get started with Reaper or a host that doesn't give problems like FL does in some areas. Nitrox is too nice to have to worry about speakers and such.

Both standalone and VST versions crashes here (winXP 32bit sp3 - AthlonXP mobile)... I think the synth code implements SSE2 instructions.

Illusions. Reaper has its own issues  Not with Nitrox, but with other plugins. Most of them work, though.

Hmmm... the only problem I've ever had with plugins in Reaper is the GUI holes with SQ8L. Have to wrap it within EXT1.4.
There were some issues with ArtilleryCM, but I tend to blame those to Reaper's MIDI implementation -- when using the onscreen keyb, it crashes sometimezs.

VST version and standalone doesn't work here.
I've tryed with Reaper, Logic, Buzz and Chainer.
It certainly won't run on a stock Windows 98 or ME system in case that's the OS you run. I had to put the exe in Windows 2000 compatibility mode to get it to run on my windows ME system. Plugin runs great in Cantabile 1.2

Someone's asked if it was a synthmaker creation. Mmmh no, it seems it is all hand coded in C++.

Sounds marvellous :tu:

PS : Perhaps the 2Ghz cpu requirement means it needs an SSE2 cpu as it is around that clock speed that SSE2 got introduced.
Not my case, here Athlon64X2 4200 + WinXP Pro SP2... and no reaction.
I'll try last version available...

Post

Nope... does it need any special dll, service or driver pack?
