Pod Farm

I'm having an issue using Pod Farm v1.11 with Cantabile Solo 2. Pod Farm uses a USB audio device (Line 6 Toneport DI) as its licensing dongle. When I use Pod Farm in Cantabile, it says that the USB device cannot be found and that Pod Farm will not process audio.
I don't have the problem when I use Pod Farm standalone, or as a VST within Sonar 8.
BTW, I'm not using the Toneport as my primary audio interface. Its only there as a dongle.

Hi Alistair,
Thanks for reporting this problem - unfortunately there's not much I can do to help as I have no idea why this plugin wouldn't work in Cantabile. I know other iLok protected plugins do work so I'm at a bit of a loss.
I've raised this on the line6 support forums, perhaps they can help in some way - http://line6.com/community/thread/13432
Regards
Brad

Hi alogie,
I also have the Toneport-DI and I don't encounter this problem.
Sorry, I can't help you.
But I have to say that I have had a lot of BSODs when keeping
the Podfarm Editor open for too long (I guess).
And I don't think this has something to do with Cantabile.
Or has it Brad? I really should have brought in a report -
but I am not eager to let my system crash again...
Oh, well I guess for the better of us all,
I'll try to reproduce it then...
Greetings,
D.

Hm,
I am using a different system now and discover different problems...
(mousewheel crackles)
But I could not reproduce a crash or anything unexpected (unwanted)
happening with Line6 and Cantabile.

Thanks Debby747 for looking into this.
Unfortunately it looks like Line6 is not really interested in this and I'm reasonably confident this is not a problem with Cantabile.
I'm not sure what else to suggest except the usual trial and error type stuff (reboot, remove/reinsert USB devices, make sure you have the latest drivers etc...)

Try a different USB port, especially if it's currently plugged into a hub...of course you will have to reinstall drivers for the device...

I am saving up to buy Cantabile, but in the meantime, I will download the demo and try it out...I have a Line6 TonePort UX2 (which uses both Gearbox and Pod Farm) and also a Pod X3 Pro (which also works with both), and will give them a try out and see if I can get them to work with Cantabile!
Debby747: I have never encountered any of those problems using Gearbox or Pod Farm, with either the TonePort or Pod X3 Pro. Are you making sure you are going directly into a USB port, and not through a hub?
Terry.

Hi tman2k,
I'm doin' fine, thanks
I wouldn't expect anybody to experience the same.
Really, my system is old and I'm driving it hard, that's all.
