I agree with headquest. Every host has people who upgrade just to have something new. But Cubase IS a great host in many ways, and it's entirely possible that plenty of those people upgrade because it's the best host for them.

For much the same reason, I was going to vote for MAGIX Samplitude (Music Studio), but the latest version of that absolutely ruined it. That's because I paid five bucks *MORE* for a freakin' upgrade.

Acid Pro 7. Just picked it up a few months ago after being away for many years. It won me back with decent midi (much better than it used to be) and excellent audio. It does for me what only P5 (RIP) could do before. And that is I forget it is even there, I just make sound.... luv it.
