Hello all

Pardon me if this is a stupid question.

I have a default preset I am enjoying very much; 'Cellos+Basses Vib'; is it possible to prevent the samples from cutting off early?

I want the sound of huge sustain, as if the musicians where bowing continually [want to make a rumbling swell], and not the cutoff that I am getting at the moment. - if so what do I need to do to achieve this?

Thank you! :)

You can do that with the Amp Envelope. There's information about it in the manual. What it does is "shapes" the volume of the sound over time allow you to slow the attack for SWELLS or increase the "RELEASE" from after you let go of the key. To do that you just turn up the release knob to the setting you like.

You can also watch some videos I did for Philharmonik here: or on www.ikmultimedia.com That explains some of the features and what you can do - although a bit more advanced than this. Adjusting the envelopes is more standard to a lot of virtual instruments but it is a good thing to know either way.

You can (and should!) experiment with the knobs and save back sounds that have been made to your liking. There are many things you can do in Philharmonik.

Time to try this out.

Thank you ever so much for your help.
