Why was is unusable? It's serial based software, right? You keep the serial, your software works.
Ok.

Shit happens, even to developers. You'll take note the C/R protection has been replaced with a straight serial.

Shit happens ? Wasn't that Bernie Maddoffs defense ?

Are you for real ?

You know they kept on selling their shit with no means of installing it after purchase ? And this went on for years. That's not shit, that's fraud.

Believe me,i know what it's like to be in dire straits but to keep on selling knowing fully well they're not functioning is straight up criminal.
Had he just closed up shop and said "Sorry guys,no money for the registration server, you're screwed" would have been semi decent. They way he went about his business was not.

Well, it's a guy called Chris now not Eddie as was; maybe it's changed hands? Personally i received tip top service - isn't 4 years a long time for a grudge? Methinks you need to chill out

Ok, so the fact that he stole other peoples money for 4 years instead of just say 1 makes it better ? Strange logic.

Like I said, I can only speak from personal experience and mine is one of excellence. Deal with it.

Does a sound change because of time, especially in 4 years? Does a hardware synth get updated? Generally they get updated because of bugs. Listen mate, for 40 quid can anyone really complain? If they do I suggest that just complain for complaining sake! I think the sounds are really good, great GUI, simple to use, loads of variation. I love 'em :D
Yup, true enough :) And like you say, 40 quid is a steal really.
(Mind you, wasn't dissing, more, err... thinking out loud. Still pull out the old P8 quite regularly, and I find that VERY useful , apart from the occasional cpu spike, using dual core)

Just because my post came after yours doesn't mean it was directed at you.

I happen to own all the Superwave stuff apart from Performer.. My comment was directed at the general bitching and moaning that has been going on for the past couple of years over a dead (and recently rectified) topic.
If you were aware of the extent of it you would be swearing too trust me...

There are some who would like to see the SuperWave guys do jail time...

edit: the image I posted should have made my position clear..

Hrm, my research indicates it was not his defense. At least I didn't see it while googling for it.

I was looking to buy them for years (about 4 years) and never once saw a place to buy them. Maybe the original developer died. Maybe he got hit by a truck. Or ended up in the mental hospital or otherwise with no way to disable purchases.

I'm pretty sure that if someone bought the products then, the "new" Superwave will do everything in their power to honor that.

Did they "steal" from you? And if so, don't you think you can get them to honor your purchase?

For real!
Having individual control of 16 VA-quality OSCs in two banks is really crazy. In fact it's actually too massive for me right now, but I'm glad to have it for when I'm ready to (ab)use it. :D

To be honest I don't want to use the SuperWave plugs extensively until they are updated to deal with the Synthedit multicore bug...Until then I can only use one instance of each synth in a project..
But Jeff is working hard at SynthEdit it seems so maybe we wont have to wait too long for SynthEdit 2.. Of course then we'll have to wait for the developers to follow suit..
