I just upgraded my Garritan Personal Orchestra to the new version 4, which now uses the new Plogue developed Aria player. Since the Cantabile computer keyboard facility cannot transmit Omni, one cannot, for example, play keyboard splits using the Aria's built in 16 channel mixer. Could an Omni option to transmit on all channels be added to the computer keyboard key capture system?

Hi onexeno,
There's probably a couple of ways to setup this, all of which revolve around the Channel Map MIDI filter which can map events from one or more incoming channels to one or more other channels. The trick is that the on-screen keyboard doesn't have MIDI filters directly - but you can route through a rack and set the channel map there.
Try this:
1. Create a rack but don't load any plugins into it
2. Bring up MIDI filters windows (Setup tab -> MIDI Filters)
3. Select the rack you just added in the combo at the top so you're editing the MIDI filters for that rack
4. Add a Channel Map filter and set its source channel to 1, target channel to omni.
5. Close MIDI Filters.
6. Back on the main window, set the rack's input device to on-screen keyboard so it only listens to MIDI from the on-screen keyboard
7. Set the rack's output to the rack containing the Garriton plugin.
Depending on your needs you could simplify this. Eg: you might be able to get away with putting the channel map MIDI filter directly on the rack with garriton.
I hope this helps, please get back to me if you still can't get it to work.

Thanks Brad,
This works and opens a new area of Cantabile for me to learn.
Thanks for the quick response and for such a usefully flexible bit of software.
