We could make a rule whereby the name of each track must have the word 'bohemian', 'whiter' or 'survive' included!!!

'Mucus' and 'bogie' are my favs , your tracks should be downloaded only by the titles.tattiemannie wrote:We could make a rule whereby the name of each track must have the word 'bohemian', 'whiter' or 'survive' included!!!

Good idea, this is what I call democracy!tattiemannie wrote:Yeager, Max, do you think instead of having a poll next time, we could judge the comp by how many sites the tracks are available as ringtones??

Please read: I'm redisigning my site so in the next days some sections (or the whole site) may be unavailable. I will keep the old page of Galileo on the server just in case it will be the next comp synth. For download it refer to this page:
http://maxsynths.altervista.org/galileo.html
If for some reason the file should be unavailable those which already have it are free to share it with the other participants, thanks
Max

Bloody hell! I got a message to go read a message on facebook! Is it true that more than 2 hours have passed?... and all I've done is post how much I hate facebook and asking anyone who gives a fk, cut 'n' paste my email if they dont already have it ... cos I'm pissed off with people ( like friends I actually know, meet, work with, who have my fkn email ad ) sending me messages to go look at their message in a manner eqivalent to sending me a letter to tell me they've sent a letter to my neighbour for me to collect??? .... like when he/she can be arsed to respond to me knocking on their door?
Anyway? where were we ( apart from significantly more drunk, notably more tired, and extremely diminished in the realm of patience! )..?
OH yeah! ... we were having some fun!! .... but that was some time ago! ( bloody social network crap! .. at least with KVR you know what people are saying, what they want, and why! ... most of the time! )
OK Max, got the updated link! .. cool!

Kind of back to business....
I'm fine with Galileo as the first OSC with Felix following - even though I'd already started on a Felix track
It'll still be there in a month or so anyway
What I like about Galileo is the slightly unusual delay and dual arp ability (RTFM on the arps guys). It's not totally unique but makes it stick out from the crowd as a bit different.
I feel a bit of a tarnce coming on
Cheers,
Mouxbar

I'm gonna go with Galileo too (now, that is). Boris K's Intro is a big beautiful beast but might scare people (including myself at times) off. Felix is great for beginners as it's very straight forward but I just like the sound og Galileo better
We might wanna keep Intro in mind if we're ever to do a "hardest to figure out synth challange" though
When are we gonna have the deadline for this I wonder. I ask now cause I'm soon away from home for a week (mid august).

31st of august suits me just fine. That should give me some time despite my vacation coming up.

Me being me, I've already started my project although Fruity is now playing up with this and crashing - I'm going to PM Max to discuss as I'm not sure where the problem is stemming from. Obviously myself or Max will post further should anything come to light.
That'll teach me to big up Fruity reliability

Ooooh!
... Cheers for posting this info mouxbar, I was just in the process of writing up the launch thread ... I'll hold off and go do something else for now, and hopefully the prob gets resolved soon.

I'm fairly sure it is a corrupt Fruity flp file that is causing my problems - it's a right odd one though so I'm awaiting to see if Max has any input to make.tattiemannie wrote:Ooooh!... Even so, the track is mostly complete already and I can carry on work on it - the crash seems to happen when the playlist attempts to loop back to the beginning of the song so it is avoidable. Pattern playback is also possibly affected - but this is not consistent. Like I said, odd
It'll be OK to enter anyway even if a tad unpolished (and with me, that's guaranteed anyway). Should give me time to try another entry if I'm feeling keen.
And, as said, it's a nice little friendly synth and I'm interested in what noises others will program out of it.
Cheers,
Mouxbar
