BFD would be good and Superior. I think Fxpansion is a lot more open to 3rd party expansions. i just posted this a couple of weeks ago on the fxpansion forum that they should have something lkie ocean way drums!

My concern would be how many velocity layers there are for BFD,because it does not do round robin playback. Superior does but there stock kits have a lot of layers

Will all the mics be adjustable or premixed? I think there is too much room sound on the kick for most mixes in the premixed larger room demos I have heard on the website.

This would be great to have for me if you can get good E drum playability. The sound quality is stunning.

It's not on the list, but it would be kickass to have a real high quality kit or two in GURU. GURU has a whole mess of great sounding kits, but none have the quality of an OWD set.

Also, I've been giving this some thought. Addictive Drums is actually based upon the concept that there are only really 2 or 3 high quality sampled kits, and everything else is done with FX. So a nice OWD and a whole bunch of diverse presets to go with it would be awesome.

Well, I've got some good news for you DrumCore or KitCore users. We're just about to announce a FREE Ocean Way Drum Kit 10m KitPack! Submersible Music is sending out the news as we speak. But you can hear about it first if you've been following this thread.

Now... interested in getting a FREE kit in any of the other sampler formats listed in the poll? VOTE for what you want. We might do a free kit, we might do some more sounds you can purchase, we might do a lot of things. It all depends on what you want! This is a chance to tell us and feel free to spread the word and bring more people to this thread to rally for your cause! ;) That will help make it happen.

By the way, listening to Ocean Way Drums in Reason is really amazing in that they are clearly the best drums I've ever heard in Reason and it really makes you realize that the NNXT is a pretty nice piece of kit! Oh and it's also fun to play Ocean Way Drums from ReDrum... well, if you're a Reason user you may be a happy OWD kit user soon! Oh and hearing it SampleTank is crazy with all of the built-in effects you can apply to it. Battery version is SWEEEEET. Ultra Beat? EXS? It's all really stellar. But so is the plug-in itself which you MAY want to just break down and get since it comes with EZ PLAYER PRO for FREE right now (normally a $50 price just for that alone). That brings the midi groove features of EZ Drummer and Superior to Ocean Way Drums at no extra cost courtesy of our friends at Toontrack! On top of that you get 1,000 midi files courtesy of our friends at Groove Monkee! So, we're packing in the value for a $199 (or less!) product that used to be only $800+ without all of these extras... and that's when it won all the awards too!!!! Editor's Choice in EM, Key Buy... come on you know you want Ocean Way Drums for these new prices!!!! Or, okay, how about FREE?

Now, another little tip. Did you notice that Native Instruments now has Kontakt Player FREE? It will let you play in stand alone mode for 30 minutes at a time with the FREE Ocean Way Drums Kit 10 trial version on www.downloadablesoundz.com in the FREE SOUNDZ section. Just login and get it, then get the Kontakt Player 3.5 from Native Instruments and have at it!

You gotta love the FREE factor. But, of course, we hope that if you like what you get for free you'll want more and pick up Ocean Way Drums DL, Silver, Gold or Platinum! Why not? It's worth it!

Hmm,

Not on the list, but have you considered Jamstix 2 (and Jamstix 3 later this year)?

With new Drummers and Styles, that would add some significant value.

That's a good call DarkStar (although I voted for AD :? ).

I got an email today from Submersible for the free OWB download for Drum/Kit Core. I voted for Drum Core because of their (SR) generous offer. I wouldn't mind seeing it in Reason and Infinite Player. I think when Propellerheads Record is released next month, it just might blow some doors. I've been using the Beta and I can say it's all what they say. EASY! I like the fact the console is a SSL but more to the point it sounds really good and easy to use.If you have Reason and OWD..wow! Didn't mean to sidetrack..still on 1st coffee lol

Reason and Battery please (Battery would also be compatible with Kore, a major plus).

Kitcore got my vote. It's already one of the best "bang for buck" drum programs out there....expanding it with OWD kits would be awesome.

And, YES, I did pick up the free kit.

I tried loading the free OWD kit in the free Kontakt 3.5 Player and it says the file is encrypted and cannot be loaded without registering. Anything I'm not doing right? A couple of posts back Squids said the free OWD 10 kit would work for 30 minutes in the new player.

Post

Did you also download and install the Ocean Way Drums Expandable Player Trial Version?

I think that you will need that to unlock the OWD Kit so that KP3.5 can load it.
