Hello all.
I am trying to load my 670 vintage compressor but absolutely no luck getting the thing to load. Well, it loads and then crashes the host. Not touching it at all.
It says "access violation at address 0758A553 in module TRacks3 Vint Comp670.vpa. Read of address FFFFFFFF.
That's after authorizing it. That all went fine.
I'm running it on a Windows vista machine with fruityloops 8.
Any ideas anybody?

Someone may be able to confirm this here, but it would be best to report this on a Support Ticket to IKMM.

You need to contact IK, perhaps if enough do they may change their response from "Wow, That's Strange" to actually fixing the problem. It does it me on Sonar8 PE. BTW the full suite crashes for me as well. Stand alone, it works great.rogavit wrote:Hello all.

Guys, this is not an IK support forum. Please, I know we talk about IK stuff a lot and some products (not this one) are IK & SR products. But this is the SR forum. Individual issues with IK support are not what this forum is for.
If you are an esoundz customer then you can contact esoundz support dircectly for extra help. If you're not an esoundz customer then you can just contact IK and I am sure they will work it out for you.
Btw, I've experienced ZERO crashes in Logic for anyone thinking it might not work. It does. But you have to remember also that each person's system can be a little different depending on their OS, their set up, software versions... it is too much to be able to definitively determine what it will be like for you. However, luckily you can just download the demo version and see for yourself first hand.
For the record, we don't like people telling stories them selling off their products... at least not here in our company forum. Anyone who wants to splash a little bit of fear about a product can say that and unless we know that person (ie. unless they are a regular participator in our forum) we don't know what that person's motivation may be. They could even be affiliated with a competitor that wants to diss the product. We don't claim to ever know for sure but I can promise you that it does happen so we just don't like to take chances. In other words, you have to be a regular in here to say something like that. (not talking about you rogavit, I'm talking about the other post that was deleted)

I can appreciate your logic there. And yes, that's the important bottom line. That testing the demo is a way to totally verify that the plugin will exist happily with the users individual setup.
I don't remember exactly where I heard that this forum was the next best thing to an IK multimedia forum, but somehow that idea was planted in my mind!

Well, that's because Sonic Reality does a lot of the sounds for IK SampleTank-based plug-ins and esoundz sells IK effects. However, we never claim to be the support forum for IK here and we're not allowed to either so we have to keep it from going too far off in that direction. We all help each other out with tips and things like that. But personal transaction or tech details are sometimes better just going directly through IK tech support.rogavit wrote:I can appreciate your logic there. And yes, that's the important bottom line. I have heard rumours of an official IK forum at some point but I've heard that for years so I don't know. Maybe some day that will happen. The AT preset sharing stuff is a good step in that direction. You never know.
But thanks for respecting that this the SR and esoundz forum and have a few rules we try to stick to regarding third party companies we work with. That also allows us to get away with more "talk" as long as we keep it from becoming the "where do I vent my frustration?" place.
