Nope. Something COMPLETELY different. Don't get your hopes up on that. However, Studiophonik, as mentioned before, will be released as a deluxe SampleTank collection featuring additional samples. I am working on adding some more than I recently said just because I want to be sure you guys are happy - those that have waited forever for it.

Anyway, yes of course I know what the new announcement is but since it isn't my announcement to spoil... I just can't! If it was our product we'd ruin the surprise because I am not good at holding back surprises, at least not if it is our own. This is IK's and the only I CAN say is... it is probably not what you guys are thinking. It is not a product that was already announced, it's not a replacement new version of something (well... you'll see). But, if you want me to hint at it... okay, it has some intelligent design that even has patents pending etc. if that perks some interest. It is something very easy yet powerful which means more people can use it than say a complex product that you need to read the manual... although you have to admit that's a good trait about IK products. They all don't require a manual to use there's something to be said for that!

Hmmmm... what other hints... without getting into trouble... hmmmmmmmm... well, okay, I'd say it is fun for really any musician but not every musician will necessarily see it with the same level of excitement. For some it will make them feel like the ultimate producer though. For others it will make them smile. I am sure there will be some people who expected it to be something specific and when it isn't that they could be disappointed but... there's no avoiding that with the guessing game tease! That's the way it goes. You're not SUPPOSED to be able to guess!!!! So... I don't think I've seen anyone guess it yet. But I have to admit I haven't read every response about the subject. Maybe someone guessed it but I doubt it. I like it when the guessing throws you off though once in a while. Things can't be TOO predictable or it'd get boring. ;)

Its a composer's toolbox - gives you a DAW like environment, while having certain IK sounds inside, some guitar effects inside, some mastering plugins, etc., all neatly packed in a cool interface.

In other words, I'm guessing its a Live/ReCord combined into one kinda app.

It is something innovative and clever. I know a lot of people that could really enjoy it and I myself find it to be a very interesting product to do sound design for... woops. :o

Okay, since it is coming up soon I will give you more hints... it fuses something that was ahead of its time with something that is still ahead of its time. It has its own intelligence that allows some people to think they have more talent than maybe they really do. ;) For some it will be fun and others it will be a way of life... you can take it with you anywhere you are in the world and I wouldn't be surprised if someone scored a film or tv show using it... in fact, I think someone (a beta tester) already has!!!!

I forgot how much fun it is to tease you guys. What was I thinking? Okay, it's not what you're expecting. It isn't ST3 or SPK or the typical guesses. Although I do want to do some third party design work for it from Sonic Reality... but samples or patches? Hmmmmm... effects or instrument?

I will say that at least it is very affordable. So it isn't a difficult purchase for too many people. I don't know how much it will change your music making - that depends on the kind of producer/composer/performer that you are! ;) Oh I am letting hints fly here... I better stop. :lol:
