OK, make me laugh and tell me, 'cause I find nothing laughable about how this album sounds...treustnowan wrote:you would laugh if you knew how I mix my music...
I put it on CD today (two CDs, actually...) and I've finally listened to the whole thing, though I had to do it while working (I will listen to it adequately as soon as my job slows down). The one slightly negative ramark is that basically all the parts could be broken down into shorter tracks making it easier to find the favorite ones, as very often there are sections that just cross fade unnecessarily and unnaturaly, so it sounds as if they had been forced together just for the sake of making long, suite-like tracks.
That said, let me say that this truly remarkable album is definitely one of the very best releases of the last couple of years at least.
Amazing, and I mean it.

In the end, maybe I'm a little lucky... but I do it with headphones, don't use no EQs, I almost don't care about the pan, and here it is. No mastering of course.Mac of BIOnighT wrote:OK, make me laugh and tell me, 'cause I find nothing laughable about how this album sounds...treustnowan wrote:you would laugh if you knew how I mix my music...
You're right, it's a bad habit. Sometimes, I have inspiration for finding titles for my tracks... for this one I didn'tMac of BIOnighT wrote:The one slightly negative ramark is that basically all the parts could be broken down into shorter tracks making it easier to find the favorite ones, as very often there are sections that just cross fade unnecessarily and unnaturaly, so it sounds as if they had been forced together just for the sake of making long, suite-like tracks.
By the way, as we're on the Elektrostudio topic, your album is excellent. As I've already said, these plugins are inspiring, but I don't think I could have made an album only with these. You've made it, and made it good! And it's not just a long abstract piece. There are experimentations like Tangerine Dream, but also moving melodies, almost pop, like Jarre. I'll write a couple words about it on Jamendo. Do you use the presets, or are you making yours?

Oh, I just put on CD the other two albums I found on Jamendo, I will not have the time to listen to them properly for a while longer, but from what little I heard they're excellent as well
Thanks!treustnowan wrote:By the way, as we're on the Elektrostudio topic, your album is excellent.
Actually, I never use any presets, or loops or anything ready to use, I like to build my own stuff - and when there are such fantastic plugs that make sound design such fun and joy, using just presets would be a crime anywaytreustnowan wrote:Do you use the presets, or are you making yours?
Thanks again for your kind words!!

I like this album !
I think it is Jean-Michel JARRE & Tangerine Dream like (with a little Kraftwerk like on "Warmth") !

It will be nice if you could share your presets with the rest of us, criminal preset users.Actually, I never use any presets, or loops or anything ready to use, I like to build my own stuff - and when there are such fantastic plugs that make sound design such fun and joy, using just presets would be a crime anyway Wink

Oh yes, you can. Just open your songs and save / export presets.

Yes, I know, but in the time it'd take me to open all the various tracks, name and save all of those sounds, I could make four or five more songs or do a pretty large number of funnier and more relaxing thingsArsov wrote:Oh yes, you can. Just open your songs and save / export presets.![]()
So c'mon, use synths for what they are and make your own sounds, it is a lot more fun than just using them as preset machines

Hi, just checking, is someone working on updates for the synths not yet released on Vstcafe? If so Where will they be published/downloadable? Couldn't seem to find the info on a quick browse through the thread... Lovely synths so far!

Yep, just found that site a few days ago.Mac of BIOnighT wrote: The developer himself is updating them http://www.elektrostudio.ovh.org/index2.php
And I apologize for asking, but this thread is just huge; what is known about the developer of these little masterpieces? He doesn't mention anything about himself at that link.
I know I did read somewhere that he intended to release them commerically but ran into alot of red tape and gave up... Anyways, these are essential plug-ins, and I feel like a thief getting them for free.
