I don't have an IPhone only because Verizon works better here than ATT otherwise I would especially now with IPhone Groovemaker. Looking at the demo, I don't know how anyone would diss it especially for $10. Just think of making better ring tones to kill all those annoying ones out there. As I was playing the demos my wife commented on how good it sounds and again she would get one if IPhone worked here but looked at the big picture...Verizon is going to get their hands to this and I'm sure soon we'll see a phone from LG, Motorola, etc with a phone that will be Groovemaker compatible. I think this will be big and that means more money to developer products for us musicians...just as the record labels had the commercial "pop" acts to fund the progressive "art" bands. That's how we able to hear Genesis,Yes,Tull,Fripp.....Squids wrote: ......... now you'd have tons of possibilities but they are tied to those loop collections and for $10 it is a great deal for the loops alone so... go buy it if you like the style. However, if you understand the concept of what I am saying and add in the ability to also bring in your OWN loops in the not too distant future... well, that starts to get REALLY interesting for real time remixing. But that's my opinion. It's all still relative here. Again we're not talking about a $300 plug-in like we usually do! It is not as hard a decision. This is fun! But it can be used professionally and creatively. Okay, less so than playing your own parts with SampleTank or manipulating loops with effects in a DAW (you snobby experts!!!! haha just kidding) but... it is still valid and FUN so... why not?

If you actually look at the figures even the Wii has outsold the iPhone. Netbooks have outsold the Wii and the iPhone combined.Squids wrote:Well, practically "everyone" does have an iPhone these days in general. I gave in myself and even worse I bought the first one and then the 3G one... and now there's a 3GS but MAN!!!!!!!!! STOP! Haha. So no 3GS or 3GSS or 3GSXT+ for me. I am happy with my 3G.hibidy wrote:My issue with it is that it is not an everyone product like the teaser said. I have not nor will I ever own an iphone![]()
I think the main thing about it being for "everyone" though was that any musician from beginner to pro could use it.
Rumor is that a lot of people are tired of the short battery life and limited connection areas.

At some point, a name-brand producer is going to be on the road, and be able to use this to bail out a session that suffered some product or personnel failure,
and then as word spreads, the credibility of this product will begin to ramp up.
It could be a real help at large trade shows, business conferences, and in the right hands at parties, a dueling ringtone chic-magnet.

Andrew, do you know (providing you're allowed to talk about it) if IK is going to release other TDM plugins?
I'd love to have some of the T-RackS 3 singles as TDM plugins

There's no official word on that. But, I can tell you that if ARC TDM is immensely popular then it'd be a good argument for IK to do T-Racks TDM. I'd love it too! Well... most HD users would and should! You never know... That said, I wouldn't hold back getting the RTAS version waiting for it.springer music wrote:Andrew, do you know (providing you're allowed to talk about it) if IK is going to release other TDM plugins?
