I love all the entries so far, amazing creativity! However, the only one so far I feel I have enough knowledge of the genre to judge is Yeager's - absolutely fantastic!! The korg pop recreation is awesome :o

Thanks, I just wanted to try to emulate something different and spend too much time on this to get it right ( for me ).

BTW I realy love  ALL your arpeggios , they are really up my alley(cat)! :)

OK, that's my track posted :)

Glad to report that the text file viewing appears to be working on the hosting site, but just in case it starts playing up again, here's the lowdown ....

Feline Groovy - Tattiemannie

Host: FL8

Sounds: 16 x Felix
Fx: 5 x mda dynamics, 1 x Blockfish, 1 x mda delay, 1 x Ariesverb
No Samples, No automation.

Very tempted to start another track since there are still a massive 13 days left to go, and because this is a lovely robust, versatile little synth! ... lovely to work with!

Krim, there are a couple of suggestions I would throw your way if you have any plans to develop/update Felix, but until I hear there are such plans, I'll keep quiet and settle for my appreciation of a fine piece of work by yourself :)

Yeager, you should really put some of your retro tracks on Jamendo, that place is great, but there's such a lack of classic EM :(

:-o  :-o Oriental/prog/videogames/whatever, incredible track!

I mentioned Jamendo before, and here's an idea: why don't we compile all the tracks that entered the competition (when it's over) and create a free download album to upload there? Actually, if the tracks from the previous one synth competitions are stioll available, we could create a whole series...

Oriental/prog/videogames/whatever, incredible track!
Wow! thanks Mac :) I am more than slightly amazed that the stuff I do is sometimes commented on with reference to videogames! ... I'm not a gamer at all, and know little about video game music other than theres a big and stable market for them ... so thats cool! :)

I dont know Jamendo, but I like your idea re. releasing a free download album ...

All the previous comp tracks are archived, and a link is always posted to the archive at the end of each comp ... (I'll post it when I find it.) ... I always ask contributors to contact me if they object to their tracks being freely available for free in the long term, and no-one has ever objected. So I would assume that there would be no problem posting either the link, or the tracks to Jamendo .... and if it gives KVRtists/OSCers a bit of exposure, or even work :-o ... then, :D

Re the Felix tracks, I repeat, I never listen to the tracks until they are all in.... but judging from the comments so far, I am so tempted to break that little personal rule!! :help: ... A whole 13 days to go :-o  ... cant wait!!! ... come on, someone convince me I could be run over by a bus tomorrow and never know!! :-o

I think you could be run over by a bus tomorrow and never know, actually.

http://www.jamendo.com 54535654655443266238763 times better than the horrible myspace, almost 24,000 albums uploaded so far, you're just bound to find something you like
If we just put together a cover, the process is pretty easy. The one problem we could run into is that, if I remember correctly, they want the wav files and do the conversion themselves, no way around this...

OK Mac, cool .... Gonna go to bed now, so I'll not worry about buses for now :hihi:

I had a look at Jamendo, yeah! ... looks good! I'm quite happy to collect wav files, create a cover, etc .... A lot to think about right now though, I'll catch up tomorrow and give it some serious thought :)

nite nite!

How far is your bedroom from the main road? :hihi:

OK, thats a good nights sleep, free of killer buses I might add.
So, be good to hear comments re. Mac's 'free album on Jamendo' suggestion

Kriminal, I hoped to save my presets and make them available ... but it seems I can only save in FL's .fst format .... is that any use to you? or anyone else? If not, no probs.

Post

I used to use FL and I could have sworn you could save fxp...maybe not.

no use to me...dunno why you cant save as fxp or fxb, seems very odd

regarding updates, no plans, but if you PM your ideas, i'll see what i can do (tho i have virtually zero time for that kinda stuff at the moment...tho i have another finished synth waiting to go, just holding back for presets)
