I've finished the tune i originally posted on saturday -
Fell (5:13/320kbps/11.9MB)
It was made in Live 8 with Kontakt and Absynth for pads, Battery and chopped up home-made loops for drums, 2 layers of Mopho on bass, Olga and a Mopho layered for the 'chorus' lead and a Mopho providing the other lead.
I hope you enjoy it.
Neil.

Wow. This is an intense sounding mix! By far the best electro track I have ever heard on KVR. Mix-wise and composition-wise.
Did you use Isone on everything or on your master track? I know it's just a small part of the enveloping sound here, but I'm curious about what it brings to the table for your mix. I didn't listen on headphones, btw.

Thanks Jeff! Very kind words indeed!
I used Isone on the master track as i was mixing, swapping between headphones (Isone on) and monitors (Isone off - obviously!) to check how things were sounding.
Once i was happy with the mix i bounced it down to a stereo file (again - Isone off
) and loaded it into Live.
I gave it a bit of gentle compression and a little limiting while listening through headphones/Isone and monitors/no Isone again, and once satisfied, switched off Isone and rendered as usual.
I must say i'm impressed with this plug. It certainly helps you hear your mixes in a different context.
Once again Jeff, thanks for the kind words!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Neil, this mix is awesome. It's just silly how much better it sounds than your rough mix posted earlier. Loving what you did to the drums, especially the snare. This one goes straight to the keeper folder!

Thanks Ronnie
Yeah that snare...the funny thing is i was layering up the original one to get a punchier sound, wasn't 100% happy with it, then accidentally deleted it.
It then only took about 5 minutes to sort out a new, better sound.
I should have just done that to start with
I'm glad you like it Ronnie. Thanks again!

This is great stuff! Somehow it reminds me - at least in certain spots - of 'Kashmir' by Led Zeppelin. Maybe it's the texture.

This inspired me to buy Isone. Fantastic sound and a great song. Love the sweepy lead synth sound.

Yeah this track is a killer Neil. I wanna lose my mind at 2:13 - absolutely effing rocks!
...and while people are feeling inspired to buy things, they shouldn't forget this track is part of a wicked album.
