That would depend what the contract is actually offering. Do you have the details?Desdicado wrote:But the same person is most likely to want a contract with S2Sthecontrolcentre wrote:monkeyweasel wrote:as far as i can see, the person most likely to win is also the person least likely to need the samples and loops.

As a contracted sample producer for Sounds/To/Sample I think this is a great opportunity for someone to get into the sound design business. The guys at sounds/to/sample and sample magic are very well respected in the industry and are great to deal with.
They don't hand out contracts to sell your libraries on their site easily.
For the sake of creating 10 kick ass loops and winning a contract and a grands worth of libraries from the site, what do you have to loose
BTW even though I sell my haunted house records libraries through them I am not affiliated with the competition, I am just speaking from the view of someone who works with them regularly. I only found about the comp yesterday from their newsletter

You'll get a very good percentage of the sales, with exclusivity on S2S for a period of time.

Are there any sample libraries that let you resell? I don't know of any (although it's not something I make a habit of checking). But I know quite a few where it's forbidden in the contract - as it's the licence to use that you buy not the samples themselves.marvotron wrote:id like to know more details about the contract please. also what are the re-sale conditions on the sample cds?

Thanks for the comments. For the electronic critters libraries I tend to use raw electronic sounds or field recordings and then use that as the source for further mangling/manipulations.
My whole theme is taking one sound source and turning it into something else.
