Squids, I just read this on Cakewalk's Twitter site.. "The next version of SONAR will make your drum tracks sound totally pro with kits from Steven Slate & Ocean Way". Cakewalk is announcing a new app each day, but regarding Ocean Way, the question is: Will it be a light version and will it be multi track or stereo or both? and I'm sure whatever versions of Ocean Way I have now will work with Sonar, correct?

Also it said "The next version of SONAR will now let you work with REX loops natively in the track & other views (x86 version only)" So would the Drum Masters series also work as well?hydemusic wrote:Squids, I just read this on Cakewalk's Twitter site.. Drum Masters and Ocean Way Drums plug-ins work with Sonar already today.
But, we're going to be supporting Session Drummer as a sample format. There's more info than that but I can't say anything until they fully announce it. I think Cakewalk users will like it though! www.DownloadableSoundz.com is involved too. You'll see!
We've been busy. Wait until you see what we have coming in a few days for a popular workstation keyboard and... oh I better be quiet. For once a surprise unspoiled by me!

Sounds very exciting, My thinking is going for Silver package in OWD and downloading the other kits as needed. I'm into Sonar PE, it's makes sense for me to stay with it..good or bad. The new RECORD by Propellerhead looks good and I've been beta testing it. It's fast and easy to use and since I have Reason which also wouldn't surprise me to see OWD or Drum Masters in Reason format. I got the Miroslav Refill: Gold Bundle and Ultra Symphonic Refill for Reason, So between Sonar and Reason I would have all avenues covered cause sometimes one works better than the other in certain situations and the topper is one can rewire Reason into Sonar which makes for a pretty powerful system IMHO with plenty of options. This may sound strange but between them all the IK products and I mean literally every one I got from ESoundz exclusively, other than vocals, I don't think I'll ever need to use an amp, keyboard or synth ever again. It literally is all virtual and I think that is so fantastic to able to record and convince the listener otherwise.Squids wrote:Drum Masters and Ocean Way Drums plug-ins work with Sonar already today.

BTW your explanation on the differences between the drum packages was excellent. It actually turned the light switch on in the brain. Thanks Squids, I needed that!
