Sessions should save layout and size

If I save a session and then make another with a different layout and size when I open the first one saved it doesn't revert to the layout/size it was when saved but to the new size etc. Can this be rectified as I would like to be able to setup different sessions for different plugins and also keep a default small session for just playing but I can't do this at the moment?

(The internal plugin window in particular is difficult to resize at the best of times so having to faff around with it each time is a nuisance)

Also the Cantabile icon is being a bit of a pain getting in the way of stuff:

Hi,
just want to note that I've found a way positioning and sizing Cantabile main and setlist window from external... and I'll try to add that to my TouchControl telnet client software - I'm just about reworking the total layout here and I'm going to put the cantabile windows in my layout schema too...

Any ideas on this? Is it possible?

I've finally got around to looking into this and have added a new option: Options -> General -> Saving and Loading -> Load Window Layout from Session. It's turned off by default.

Available in the latest experimental build here:

I haven't been able to reproduce the problem with the icon, but will look into this further tomorrow.

Thanks - its still very fiddly to position plugins in the single window view (need a draggable bar at top of plugin view I think) but it is working so far.

The gap just above the plugin view is draggable, or am I misunderstanding your point?

I was thinking of freely dragging in any direction like a Window's title bar - currently it's fiddly because with a large plugin like NI Kore there's a lot of free space created and you sort of have to drag a little at the top, then a little at the bottom etc to position it right without getting scrollbars forming

Hi Folks...

I agree a bit to the opinion that the panel plugin view needs a big and high resolution screen to work conveniently... you know, I like MMV2 a lot and it has a huge plugin gui... :D

Some others also expect at least 1024x768 just for the plugin... and who's gonna really use a 1200x1920 screen in portrait position? :D

Maybe a different idea could be storing information about the separate plugin windows opened in a session and reopening these when a new session is loaded?
