CronoX problem

Hello, when using Fl Studio I open CronoX in Channel and using my midi controler I can play and hear the different sounds. But when I select notes to be sequenced and hit play nothing comes out. Does this vst need a midi out to send info to CronoX ? if so where do you select the midi channel ? Could someone explain the steps if I have to open CronoX using the Mixer or some other strange way with FL Studio.

Thanks

iirc , cronox receives only on midi channel 1 ...

check the midi channel you are using in the piano roll , of FLS ...
color / channel key located upper left of piano roll window , when open ...

check your port settings , if using a midi out channel generator ...
in / out port settings located upper right , FLS wrapper ...

Thanks for the info, starting to understand the problem but still no signal. I will write it all out and could you tell me what i'm missing.

Open FL Studio
Open CronoX in a channel
Open Midi Out in another channel
Set Midi out to midichannel 1 port 0
Set CronoX to port 0
Select notes in Midi out channel piano roll to sequence
hit play

still no sound from the CronoX

hmm ...
seems correct ...
make sure that the cronox midi port is the 'in' port , you are setting ...
try another port number ... port 0 may be taken by a soundcard ...
check your port settings , under options ...

does cronox trigger from the virtual keyboard , of the FLS midi out wrapper ?...

That's not true...
I can play Sophistry (=CronoX) with MIDI Out on all channels) in FLS.
But internaly FLS sends only MIDI 1.

reading back , as i no longer have cronox , i see that i mis-spoke , somewhat ...
cronox recieves in midi 'omni' mode only ...
you cannot set cronox to receive one specific midi channel only ...

i'm not quite sure what you mean when you say FLS sends only midi channel 1 internally ...
a midi out channel generator sends on any of the 16 available midi channels , to any assigned port ...
i think we're saying the same thing ...

Cronox indeed receives all channles, MIDI OMNI, so basically its completely irrelevant what MIDI channel data are sent with. You definitely need NO MIDI-Out in FL Studio and CronoX usually works in FL, at least here and for many people. I unfortunately have no idea what could be the prob, other than FL for some reason (probably some config) not sending the notes to CronoX.

Does it sound when you play the CronoX keyboard ?
