Coupon + Epointz?

Hi,
I was thinking about getting the Squids Trons Extras using the coupon that I got with the group buy.
If I add it to my basket my ePointz are automatically subtracted from the price.
However, if I enter the coupon code, then the epointz are no longer applied.
So my question is whether the $25 coupon can be combined with ePointz?

that certainly sucks
I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. The site states that it is valid for any product over $50 - but does not say that it can't be combined with ePointz...

Well, you can use epointz or you can use the coupon. Using both is like double dipping! I am sure it would be nice but we couldn't afford to do that. But, since epointz can't be used on every type of product and the coupon can I am sure there are ways to make that coupon work for you.
When I see anyone say that it 'sucks' when we are doing something that is supposed to give back to the customer such as a $25 off site-wide coupon or referral credits that can be used on future purposes it worries me a bit. Remember this is already above and beyond the norm for a retailer. I hope it doesn't suck! Again, it's all in how you look at it.
Maybe we should have put a note in there that epointz could not be used at the same time. That wasn't intentionally left out or anything. We just didn't expect anyone to think that we could allow both. How could we stay in business if we went wild like that? We push the limits for you guys as it is believe me.

This deal certainly does not suck, I mean IK went above and beyond and pushed the plugins deal to 5+1, and then Esoundz gave a way a ton of loops, and a coupon, on top of a pretty sweet referral deal...plus they're going to hook you up with the full CSR suite (check yer email for details)....what does it take to impress you people?!??!?!
Hopefully I've shamed you into to being grateful.

For your info:bogh wrote: The site states that it is valid for any product over $50 - but does not say that it can't be combined with ePointz...
If you like to use the $25 coupon..... it will only work if you purchase anything at $75 (or more of course)! The coupon only works for purchases on which you'd have to SPEND $50 in the end (after coupon)!
For everything between $50 and $74,99 you would have to contact allen [at]esoundz[dot]com (since this won't work automatically).
Squids stated that Allen will take care of this.

No, sorry MountainKing, I thought you read my post afterward. We ended up fixing that so they don't have to contact Allen. It will work automatically now if you just spend $50 like most people (including myself) thought it would do in the first place. We had our programmer reprogram the way the coupon works. This was, in Allen and my opinion, the right way to do it so no one could complain.MountainKing wrote:For your info:bogh wrote: The site states that it is valid for any product over $50 - but does not say that it can't be combined with ePointz...

No, it's cool. It was our mistake. It should have just worked that way in the first place... OR we should have worded it differently. It was something new. Anyway, it seems to be popular so that's good. Maybe some day we'll do it again. This coupon expires in less than two weeks.MountainKing wrote:My fault....

I need some advice on what to get. I think I have almost everything!
Are the new kitcore kits different than the DM masters kits?

Yes, for the most part they are different in many ways. But the ones named the same are taken from the same sessions just different mixes. The ones with different names like Supraphonic, Brady Deep etc. are not in Drum Masters at all (but other mixes of those will eventually be in Drum Masters in some capacity).
There's no direct one for one thing. But at $15. each they are their own animal... it's like we can do a $12.50 crossgrade discount!!!!! They are already mega cheap. So knock yourself out! Get $50 of them and pay only $25 (half price... $7.50 each! Can't go wrong there).
By the way, regarding the whole coupon + epointz question, this has been in our policies under the coupons/discount codes section:
"Any existing ePointz credits are ignored if a coupon code is entered and valid - if a coupon code is entered and found to be invalid, any existing ePointz will be applied instead."
I asked that this statement also be put in the "epointz" policy section too since it relates to both. I know it is the fine print but at least if anyone wanted to check to see what our policy is on it they could look. It's available. Just go to the bottom of www.esoundz.com and click on policies and then the associated section.

Sorry - to say it sucks was probably too harsh, but I was bummed to find out they couldn't be combined.
But if it's stated in the policies then I guess I could have found out.
I guess that means I won't use the voucher. Oh well... easy come, easy go.

Remember though if you use the coupon (before it expires on the 31st) then you still have your epointz to use later in your account. So it is like FOUND money $25 with that coupon. Then later you can use your epointz even for free sounds or something. Might get you more mileage.bogh wrote:Sorry - to say it sucks was probably too harsh, but I was bummed to find out they couldn't be combined.

And don't forget that the coupon IS combined with epointz in the sense that your coupon purchase will earn you more epointz to use later...
