Hi!

Try placing the files on another directory ( according to method #2, as described in the manual ).

I don't recommend having the bridging files in the same folder than the plugin, it can cause problems with some hosts.

Which hosts for example?

What do you need jBridge for running 64-bit plugin in 64-bit host? :?

Some users have reported Cubase as one of them, for example.

I will try and will report back soon.

Good, I'm not the only one confused by this. But before trying jbridge, I could not get EITHER version of Dimension Pro to run under Cubase 5 64 bit. Now at least I get the 32 bit version running under C5 64 bit.

Maybe the Dim Pro 64 bit is broken? It does work under Sonar 8, but I don't use Sonar as my main DAW, I use Cubase. Regardless, at least I get "some" improvement with jbridge.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.
Will re-organize it.

Hello again, UMB:

Ya know what? Zergfood brings up an excellent point. Is there even a minor chance that I could get Dimension Pro 64 to run in Cubase 64 via Jbridge, when it already will not work natively?

I'm thinking not; unless there are some unique cases that you are aware of.

Hi!

Hum, if it crashes natively, I'm afraid that the bridge won't be of much help, because it's controlled by the main host, and whatever leads to the crash will be passed to it as well. :(

Yeah, my thought as well.

Given this consideration, I've decided to purchase a license for Jbridge (and just got done paying for it before writing this post), since it allows me to use DIM PRO 32 bit in Cubase 64 bit host. This is an improvement, because I couldn't do this before trying Jbridge.

Going forward, this will also allow me to use Jbridge for any other misbehaving VSTi's (or misbehaving hosts) that I may come upon in the coming year or two.

With the exception of unsupported VSTi's or developers who are out of business, I expect most eveybody will be on 64 bit in the next few years. Those that are not improved will eventually become obsolete as other developers come up with alternative tools.

So thank you for your help!

Np. :-)

I would like to mention that I have a beta version available by request, which solves the issue with Cubase5, where it will always hang the first time you open a project with bridged plugins.

If any Cubase user wants to give it a try, please drop me a line. I am reluctant in releasing it currently because according to the reports I've received, the new OpenGL based gui isn't correctly rendered in all the machines, so I'll have to sort that out first.

I've uploaded v1.04b, it seems that the new GUI wasn't well rendered in some machines, hope this fixes it.

Do you have any idea how I can get any of the IK Multimedia stuff to work with Cubase 5, jBridge 1.1d and Windows 7?

When I set auxhost.exe to run as Admininstrator the IK plugins load, e.g. SampleTank, but the GUI is blank. Setting auxhost.exe back to normal instantly crashes it when loading the IK Multimedia plugins. I tried both method #1 and #2.

:(

Hi.

Do you get any error message? Or it just crashes?

Just made a test with Sampletank 2.5 here, but I couldn't reproduce your issue ( it worked fine with the integrated GUI ).

Yes, I get some error message and will post it later when I'm back on Cubase.

Thanks in advance!
