It's stable enough, thanks! The plugs from Winamp are pretty sad.

Hi,
Just a short note: I updated my website with all the past versions. So you can choose the version most stable in your evironment (Media Player / VST Plugin).
Kind regards,
Christian

Another annoying thing - and I realize the development of this thing is dead - is that when Winamp starts I have to go to DSP/Effect plugins and click on Configure for it to appear; it doesn't minimize either... Before, when Winamp started, it started, too. Now... Perhaps it's Winamp's fault.

Previously the DSP and GUI parts were sharing the same resources. Thus, when WinAmp opens the DSP part, the GUI showed up as well. This wasn't a good style of programming, so I changed it and made both parts independent. That was necessary to make the plugin running in some other media players.Sylph wrote:Another annoying thing - and I realize the development of this thing is dead - is that when Winamp starts I have to go to DSP/Effect plugins and click on Configure for it to appear; it doesn't minimize either... Btw. the development is only over from my personal side. It's open source and you can change anything you like by yourself. Or just donate a good amount of money, so that it makes sense for me to change what you want to have changed.
Kind regards,
Christian
PS: It has to be that way, because I already spent too much time on this one and I have better paid work to do.

Hi,
Just a short note for the persons using this bridge with different media players. I added another version to my page containing several workarounds in case this is used via ffdshow.
Kind regards,
Christian

I'd say you don't have the latest version then. On the other hand it is not your fault here as I don't have a proper internet connection at the moment and thus I haven't uploaded it yet.J_Martins wrote:Just to report, I think I have the latest version of your software Christian. But it's not working. Winamp crashes when is closing also is impossible to disable your plugin via Winamp. Only deleting or moving the dll file from Winamp plugin folder.
Sorry if is just a old report.
I was planning to build an VST just to use with your bridge, but with this lot of crashes I quit the project.
After moving houses, our internet provider was unable to move our internet connection (if you're located in Germany don't try to move houses if your provider is the one with two ones in its name). So right now I only have a mobile phone connection and it is damn slow. I need to change all of my work because of one bug that has been fixed now, but that would include about 700MB of data! So I just update it on-demand.
I just fixed that latest version and uploaded it here: http://www.savioursofsoul.de/Christian/ ... dsp_vst.7z As soon as I do have a proper internet connection again (and some time) I'll update the official version.
Kind regards,
Christian
PS: Keep in mind that there is an open sourced version as well, which allows you to wrap any VST plugin.

I only have a dial-up connection via my mobile phone at the moment, so it's a bit hard to maintain my website at the moment. Especially as everythings loads sooo sloowly. I'll fix this as soon as I have a proper internet connection (not before 9th of september).fliffo wrote:BTW the plugin linked above is version 1.5... on your site there is also a link to version 1.6, but it actually links to 1.5

Just for your information:
I just re-uploaded version 1.6, which now also patches a bug in the oversampled 24-bit mode.
Kind regards,
Christian

Hi Christian.
Avast just reported the dll as infected with some trojan.
I am fairly sure it is a false positive.
Just informing.
