Actually this beta kit sounds amazing! We have a FREE Stereo version and a Multitrack version that is only for those that own the JB Sonor MT kit from the Infinite Player Starter Pack or Drum Masters Gold, Platinum or the a la carte MT kit which is also available for Infinite Player users. But you DO have to update your Infinite Player's Kontakt engine to 3.5 which can be done for free from Native Instruments through the service center. You ready with it? Whoever has Infinite Player with the Kontakt 3.5 engine ready to go let me know. Wanna have some fun? Wait until you hear this!!!!!!

I got the NI 3.5 update from the service center... I don't have the key for it though. Does the new key come with the update?

I'm ready to try it too. :)

Me too. :D

Good. For anyone else who owns Infinite Player:

First, the customer must have authorized the KP2 through the service
center. Next, they will have to go to www.native-instruments.com once
there click support then click "updates and drivers" They will be
asked to login, this login is the same login that they use for the
service center. Once they log in there is a drop down menu that they
click on and then select "show all products" then click "send" Next a
screen will open up with what products are available for update.

It says that it can't install kontakt player 3.5 because I already have Kontakt 3.5. Is that correct?

Yes. Correct.

At first I was disappointed by this, but K3.5 now supports 'library' functions that will automatically list your purchased libraries (like OWD, Drum Masters, VI.ONE, etc) with a GUI template just like the old Kontakt Player used to.

I've been checking out the beta of Cinema Sessions this weekend. It's amazing what it can do! A lot of fun. It's mainly for film but I think people can use it to get some good quirky bits for electronic music or hip hop or atmospheric sound effects in rock (like Floyd style). The scripts are really cool too. You can instantly reverse any sound flipping back and forth... most of the sounds are based on one bed of sound stretched up and down the keyboard so the weaving textures do all sorts of fun surprises. You can hold down an octave of something and run it through some delay and just sit back and listen to what happens... man, if I was scoring a video game or doing scores for TV or Film this would be so useful and instantly worth the money.

Anyway, it should be available to you soon if you're interested. There are three titles so far in the series: Symphonic Effects, Global Atmospheres and Dimensional Effects. You can read more about it here: http://www.sonicreality.com/index.php/cinema-sessions/

The Cinema Session titles are in the $200-300 range. There's a fourth one coming that does have a nice selection of ambient sound effects with thunder storms, fireworks, train stations, airports, birds, crickets and things like that.

But the Serafine collections and FXTron itself have more samples with very complete ranges of sound effects for each category. Thousands of patches bring up each sound in the search engine to manipulate forwards or backwards with the ability to move in real time within the duration of the sound to change the start point with the mod wheel and then "lock" it... Cinema Sessions has the same functions actually. But the Serafine collections are over twice the price and in some cases they are in their own high end price range that is beyond some people's reach. For instance the 140 gigabyte 96k Ambience 5.1 collection is thousands of dollars... it's clearly just for pros doing Film, Video games or 5.1 music! But the main FX Tron is less than a thousand and we may put out a lite version (that isn't so lite!) for the Cinema Sessions range price or close to it. Sound effects aren't cheap! But, the good thing is that the virtual instrument versions of those sounds will cost less that the plain wave versions of those sounds yet be able to do infinitely more (no pun intended). Each sound can be mangled into all sorts of other cool sounds instantly. I'm amazed at what can be done with it!

Infinite Player doesn't have a 1.5 version. It just uses the Kontakt engine so if you have Kontakt 3.5 then you already have the software engine. We were talking about the version of the Drum Masters patches being 1.5. A few people have the beta version of the JB Sonor Kit Stereo & Multitrack right now. The only issue we're having is that the patches aren't finding the samples right away and have to browse to it... which is something we want to fix first. When we have that and also some pre-made patches that cover most requests then we'll make the beta public for anyone who has Infinite Player, Kontakt 3.5 updated (doesn't have to be the full version, the K3.5 update for the engine is free to all Infinite Player owners) and you'd need to own the original version of the JB Sonor Stereo and Multitrack kits but you can do all of that in one shot to be involved in this just by getting the Drum Masters/Infinite Player Starter Kit on www.esoundz.com Just search for it and it'll pop up.
