I'd imagine the drums are from Guru

Yes, waiting for it, too! Bought the Largo already, and I don't know if I should spent another 200 euro for a softsynth. If synthsquad is of the same soundquality Largo is,(I know it has a different character though) I might buy it.

Dunc -- unfortunately not at this time. If you have a Mac, I'd suggest you take a look at Numerology.. I thought we'd built a pretty comprehensive step sequencer til I looked at that thing :-o :)

They are indeed, or at least I used Guru to sequence them - can't remember where all the individual hits came from (except for the brass stab, that's from a Tom Jones record :hihi:). A little Cytomic Glue to gel them together and that's it.

sorry if this has been posted before, search didn't come up with anything.

will the dcam synths work fine on tiger (10.4.11)?

been getting mixed responses about that.

Post

No, Leopard is a requirement and the 'Squad is the main reason why I (finally) upgraded from Tiger.

Tiger support is something we are working on, it /should/ be possible, but 'no promises'. Will keep you posted on developments in that regard.

I know that this was reported before but I found that using patches in Fusor uses around 30% more CPU than using the same patches/synths as multiple instances, even if the FX's of Fusor are turned off. At the moment for layering sounds i'll use multiple instances with external effects except when i need ertain Fusor patches or Fusor's other special features.

Nice one JK 8)

@ Ingonator -- would you mind sending a mail either to me or to our tech support crew to that effect, just to make sure it's tracked on our system?

I just tried to layer some Synth Squad and Largo sounds and that combination is really awesome IMHO. Both synths have a perfect sound quality but the sounds are unique/characteristic so a "Synth Squad vs Largo" discussion would be pointless for me.
I found that Largo cuts through a mix in combination with almost any other synth including Synth Squad (problem not as big as with other synths) so volumes have to be set carefully.

I don't know if a report makes much sense since the performance problems of Fusor are known but i'll try to send a report if i find some time.

When i use multiple instances of Strobe, Cypher and Amber they work very well but when layering the the same patches in Fusor without FX and other extra features the CPU use is around 30% higher. All instances at 2 x oversampling.
Without Fusor i am able to layer 5 instances (3 pads + poly + arp) and two Largo instance (pad + brass) without problems. Plus 1 additional Strobe instance for lead sounds.

Could anyone tell me how i could save my own patches with my own name instead of just seeing "undefined" as the sound designer name?? Didn't find this in the manual so far.

Ingo,
Create a folder with your name in the user Presets folder for any given synth.
On PC go here: My Documents/Fxpansion/Cypher/Presets/Ingo's presets folder.

The synth will take the folder's name as the name of the preset creator.

I already tried this but if i store the patches at My Documents/Fxpansion/Strobe/Presets/Ingo Weidner the name is stil "undefined".
