Nice. I like the string of unintelligible testimonial quotes that lead the app description on the iTunes store.

They must not have accepted mine, dang it: "I can sound like a talentless f**k on my own, but not everybody can so buy it! Shawwty! (even though I don't know what that means)"

They should seriously just Ban Autotune from the Music Industry altogether.

VocaLive does autotune style pitch correction and effects, but it does a whole lot more than that, and it does it with the sort of studio quality you expect from IK Multimedia. Our pitch correction can be defined by key, and we also have rubber pitch and formant shifting, choir harmonization, doubling, plus all the standard vocal processors like reverb, compression, EQ, chorus, delay, etc.

And everything is realtime, of course.

Very impressed with Ik's iOS commitment, sign me up for everything you make. Reminds me of the sampletank breakthrough back in the day.

Really two different markets, no? I mean, the thing is called 'I am T-Pain' for f-sakes. If you were really targeting pros you would call it what it is, and you wouldn't even TOUCH those ridiculous celebrity quotes (did they really say those things? Cause if they did, they should have their 'cool factor' licenses taken away.)

Ik, as far as I can tell, is really trying to put usable tools in musicians' hands.

Yes, we are aimed at the serious musician market.
But you'd be surprised how many people settled on less serious apps to make mobile music because that's all there was, or just because an iPhone app is a heck of a lot cheaper than a vocal processor.

VocaLive, (particularly when used inside AmpliTube on the iPad when the 2.2 update is available) will make for a pretty powerful portable studio for serious musicians on the go.
