Yupyup no offence taken :hihi:

I'm not saying any more until I hear either a) stuff with French shit on it or b) Salt'n'Pepa samples.

But yes it's good enough, and good luck.

Post

Interesting, and quirky (maybe too quirky). Not boring. Nice production.

Post

I agree maybea little too quirky, I would say it was too busy for my tastes.

I love the part 16 or so bars right before the break, also the part right before the end was cool too.

If it were me, I would choose different sounds for the chords, but that is just my pref.

good productions.

Thanks for the feedback guys! :D hmm isn't it illegal to sample saltnpepa? I actually think that would work on this track, but I don't want to go through any legal hassle for it though... It would be a neat hook nonetheless... :)

Hmmmm, I wonder if you using one of their samples would hinder their career too much...........

I'm sure clearance wouldn't be too much of an issue :hihi:

Hehe cool, but how does sample clearance even work? What do I have to do to clear the samples if I find something appropriate? :help:

Post

I honestly don't know that much about it, but don't make me roll out my Satellite remix to illustrate how I haven't been keelhauled by Oceanlab yet :hihi:

Perhaps do a version with some samples and see what advice the label(s) has to offer.

I did ask about this is another thread elsewhere (as I started the Satellite remix) and the general consensus was don't worry about it until you think about releasing something (which i'm not bothered about) or the original artist asks you to remove it from myspace/youtube/soundclick whatever you use. Apparently the latter is the worst that can happen. There are literally millions of tracks all over the net that are littered with uncleared samples.

Apparently Vengeance have even built a business model on it

Post

Haha I understand :hihi:

Nice track, but also a bit too busy for me. I liked the build up after the break (2.55-3.35) the best :hihi: Sounds like it could be a nice electro track.

You'll have to contact the Label... in this case Champion Records if my memory serves me right :) If you use the Accapella and it's a hit then people are gonna come knocking :( Best sort out clearence before hand mate...saves alot of pain in the end.
Just contact the Label as you may be suprised..reviving old stuff is pretty popular these days...
