Hi!

Maybe someone knows this:

I have noticed that some of the drum kits are either missing the dry version or the ambient version. When I try to install the corresponding zip file it tells me its allready installed. How do I trick the installer into installing them again?

Thanks in advance

Hi Acoustics
I would guess the best place to start would be to check whether the nkm files (e.g. Kit 10 - 1 DRY.nkm, Kit 10 - 1 MEDIUM.nkm or Kit 10 - 1 AMBIENT.nkm) are in the folders as expected, they should be but maybe installed elsewhere (subfolder) instead?
Also, did you know that you do not have to use the installer? I had a problem originally (now OK thanks to ESoundz support) and was able to unzip the files and manually add the relative folders into the Multis, Instrument & Sample folders.
Good luck

I've been having the same problem. I'm told an installer update fix is in the works.

don1thedon: I tried to manually install, but looking at the number of files in the folder, this looks like a really long and time consuming process. Am I wrong? What's the trick?

I had the same problem with Kit 19 due to a bad download. I unpacked all the zip-files manually to see if any of them was faulty and re-downloaded those. Then removed all the files that had 19 in it's filename from the faulty installation (through a normal file search om '19' from the topmost OWD folder). Then I installed all the zips again with the help of the installer. Presto. For me at least.

Not sure if this might help, although there are a lot of files they pretty much go to the same places. Below is an illustration of my Kontakt sample library directory as an indicator, anything listed without a file extension is a folder. Any other kits (lucky you) then simply copy the content of their instruments, multis and samples to the relative folders in your sample library. Hope it helps.

Thanks guys.

I will try what Don suggested and install the kits manually.

If I mess it up, I'll wait for the installer update ;-)

The installer update allows over-write. It was made for us and the author didn't have it working that way before. He had it designed to let you know if you've already installed the zip. But it didn't take into account that sometimes people have incomplete zips from download errors. We're working on ways to improve this in the very near future. In the meantime this week we should have an installer update so please contact allen (at) sonicreality (dot) com and he'll get you sorted with that.

I think I'm going to wait for the installer update. I've got my hands full downloading all these files anyway. But really looking forward to getting the completed kits in place.

I know this can really work smoothly as the IP installer really is a work of art. No muss, no fuss: just drag, drop, and it does the rest. Very efficient.

Thanks Squids.

If the update is so close I will take the easy way out...

...and I agree with BERFAB, the drum kit installation is just nice and easy.
