can you send me a usine file with your setup?
i plan to let multiple slots be triggered simultaneously, but i think it might be a lot of work.

DnD MIDI into a slot? Did not realize it could do thatgurulogic wrote:I just realized that I can drag and drop midi files onto midilooper, that's cool, though I'm not sure how well it's really working us I seemed to get unpredictable results? It did get me to thinking how fun it would be if each of the 16 slots could store a sequence that could be triggered on and off remotely and played to a separate midi channel... or is this already how it works and I just can't figure it out? I suppose I should take the time to read more of this thread.
Also a cool idea (imo) for the future would be if you could open a piano roll editor for the stored loops and do further editing..
IIC you store each sequence by pressing save?
I was hoping that each slot could be triggered via a MIDI channel. I took a look at the source to implement this but was very quickly stomped
For the saved loops, you can open them into any host with pianoroll editor. Pretty straight forward that way hth...

PIZ
May you live a long and happy life!!!
I have been looking for this for Audiomulch for Mac ever since midi came to AM. Now I do not need to slave my DAW just to put a midi lick in. Bravo.
What's really great is that you published the stop/start to VST parameters so I can trigger midiLooper when I want on AM's timeline. Bravo!!
Sell it!

i'm not actively developing it at the moment, but if something specific needs to be added/fixed i can try to do it. and of course the source code is available if anyone else wants to try.
in the future i might combine this plugin (no pun intended) with my other midi playing plugin, midiStep, which has a piano roll editor and can trigger multiple patterns at once...

can midi looper currently play different patterns by pressing different keys on a midi keyboard ,like press c5 for a bass pattern d5 for a pad pattern and e5 for a lead pattern ,and these three midi loops are going to different vst synths meaning different midi ports ?

it can't do that yet, except by using multiple instance of the plugin (one for each pattern).

i gotta say it again, this is cool on v-machine. i looked around for a week for a drum machine vsti with internal free running sequencer, you know like a roland dr-550 type deal. no luck.
but midiloops and the sampletank drums from the v-machine and bang, drum machine!
big applause!, one of the best tranfers of plugin function to the v-machine that ive seen. love having pattern names show up as you scroll etc etc etc.
