How can I reverse a midi CC value ?

I wonder how to solve this issue in Cantabile Performer: my midi pedal board has a controller button which sends 0 when released and 127 when pressed (latch mode). I just wanted to set this control in order to activate/deactivate the suspend of a plugin. It's quite easy to assign the controller so that when released the suspend is not activated, and when pressed the suspend is ON (controller assigned to Suspend On/Off in latch mode using the MIDI Controller Assignements) but I need to reverse this action so that when the controller is released the suspend is ON and only when pressed the suspend goes OFF and the plugin starts working.
I've tried to play with the midi filters but I didn't succeed. I thought that with the reassign controller to the same number from 0 - 127 to a new range 127 - 0 could do the job...
Is there a way to do this?

Try midi filter "controller map" or "controller latch" and reverse destination values. Let me know if one of these help...

What I've written in the first post "I've tried to play with the midi filters ... reassign controller to the same number from 0 - 127 to a new range 127 - 0" meant that I've already tried midi filter "controller map" with reverse destination values.
And it didn't work.
As for the "controller latch" what should I type as Target Values? 127,0 doesn't work...

Ok, if that does not work I think that's something Brad should tweak... :D

OK, I've looked into this and you're doing exactly the right thing with the reassign controller filter... it's just there's a very subtle bug in the MIDI filter editing. After editing this filter, it internally normalizes the min/max target range to be in order so it doesn't work. I've fixed this for the next build, but in the meantime you can work around it by setting up the filter the way you've described then save and reload the session (or save it then use File|Revert).

For completeness, there's another way to do what you're after and that's with a VST Parameter MIDI filter. Rather than use MIDI controller assignments, setup a filter directly on the plugin. ie:

* In the plugin slot, click Tools -> MIDI filters.
* Add a VST Parameter MIDI filter
* Select the source controller and target parameter as appropriate
* Set the target range to 1.0 to 0.0 (as opposed the default of 0.0 to 1.0)

Hope this helps, sorry for the delay in replying.

Hello Bradr,
I've tried the revert solution and works great, while I had already tried setting up the reverse action on the plugin itself but it's not like the suspend option: I should manage the level of the plugin but this doesn't perform a bypass action.
Anyway, glad to know that my feedback has helped to find a (little) bug.
Thanks for your support.

p.s. there is another topic with the same title... I don't know why, maybe my fault, can you delete it?
