Hi guys, can you help me with Art of trance bass?

It sounds so hypnotic, and I cant remember a preset like it to learn the synthesis behind it.

So, if you can help me please.

to me this sounds very much like an acid bassline.

they probably used a Tb303 for this type of bassline.

Love the track the album is superb..

I'd try it with a square wave, and pass it through a 24 db/oct lp filter with zero or low resonance with a low cutoff. Then add an a sine wave pitched an octave lower for the deep sub. The synth should be set to mono, legato and have a medium portamento time.

I think the distorted sound is layered, and sounds to me like a distorted sine, use a sine wave with zero attack, medium decay and zero sustain.

You'll need to program the notes for the two synths carefully to get all the portamento and layering right. Sometimes you might search the correct sound for ages but then the real trick turns out to be careful midi programming. For the synth I'd suggest NI Massive, especially for the distorted sine since it has good distortion algorithms. (admitted, I'm a huge Massive fan.)

Try the PHOSCYON from D16 Group.
With this synth you come extremely close to this bassline.

Or do it like Thomas explained, there are many synths how can make an acid bassline.
